Kick Return Game

Our Kick Return Game has been underwhelming.

Its the last component to us running up huge scores on everyone.

We now have a good scoring system, a qb and a kicker with range.

I think that Manny & company need to make a bigger effort in getting production from the return units.

Also Pope just doesn't have it as a kick returner. I just don't trust him out there.

Only about 23% of kickoffs returned get past the 25 yard line. Why risk a Pope fumbling on our 20 when touchhbacks give us the ball on the 25 every time. Just not high percentage any more to return kicks

If you want to see Miami run up the score on teams then kick returns is not the problem you are wanting to correct first. What you want to see is receivers finally plucking balls out of the air that are intended for them. While I agree that a slight tweak (substitution of Pope with any one of our RBs) to the kick return game could be great for field position, dropped passes are what is our weakness on offensive efficiency.

Kickoffs rearly don't really get returned that much anymore. Most teams have a guy that booms it into the endzone and teams take a knee. The number of opportunities during a gamehas been greatly reduced. IMO

Punts....thats where there is opportunity but you have to have someone that can make good decisions and is virtually guaranteed to catch it.
Got to start there.
