Keyshawn "Pie" Young discusses UM (LOL OMG)

it worked out so well the first time with Ricardo Louis

Hey Travis Rudolph is another example. It can go either way. I don't see an issue if the kid prefers a certain position. If he wants to play that left him pursue it. We just went 6-7. It's not like anything our coaches say are gold.

He did clown not Miami and the other guy if you don't know anything about somebody's grades or work ethic you should keep your mouth shut

As an AA I cannot for the life of me understand how these kids with years of schooling, reading and writing, come to speak so poorly. All you speak is english why can't you master the language? I bet if I read a research paper written by him it would bring me to tears. Grill in his mouth, nappy unkempt hair and can't speak! Come on man be real! This is not a positive thing for this child.

I was being sarcastic, Louis has made plenty of big time plays for Auburn, and Rudolph looked good as a freshman for FSU

I think the coaches should just recruit the kid at the position he wants to play and move him if he isn't clearly better - just get the superior talent in the door

You know the answer. It's not the "kids" it's the brother, sister, mother, father, auntie, uncles who look act and talk like that.. And they grow up in neighborhoods where many look act and talk like that.. Come on man are you surprised? That bothers you? Lol

I don't think he clowned Miami for wanting him at DB. He just has it set that he doesn't want to play DB. Probably wants to have chances with the ball in his hands at the next level. I think the Miami reaction was towards playing DB.

Just because the schooling is available doesn't mean they take advantage and it doesn't mean the schools academics are that good.
A school where I'm from is Acadiana High School. Every year they produce great ball players but they often don't stay in school at the college level or they never see a D-1 play because they flunk out of JUCO. The school boosts grades for athletes to keep them eligible. Some seniors even end up playing while taking sophomore level classes. It's sad but true.
At the same time I'm not gonna judge the young man for his appearance and speech. Doesn't mean that he's not a good kid off the field and outside the interviews.

Also this is football man.. Football. I mean did Edgerrin James grill bother you? Did Ed Reed's nappy unkept hair bother you too?

Golden also told The Duke that he wanted him at CB. So much so that his Mom wanted him at Bama. I guess Golden figures that trying to run away ballas would yield him the ones he feels would truly want to be Cane. SHlTTY way for Golden to run recruiting So. FL ballas, but don't expect him to change anytime soon.

First, Shalala would never want this kid representing UM. Second, the coaches are to dumb to realize he is a stud WR.

I don't understand this line of thinking at all. The kid wasn't that bad - trust me, I guarantee you there are worse speakers on the current team. I thought he was pretty good, actually.

How many kids who were a little rough around the edges transferred or were told to leave UM in the last 5 years? There have been quite a few. It's a well known fact that Shalala did not want those kids representing UM. Why do u think we play soft every game for the past 8 years? Hardly any jawing.. Hardly any **** talking... Hardly any emotion! The very few rough players we have are kept muzzled.

There are kids on our team just like AUCane said that speak worse than that. In addition to that, some kids get coached up for interviews then go back to speaking how they normally would around their friends.

As for your bolded claim, since there were "quite a few" can you list them? I do not know of any kids that were told to leave unless there was an incident or they were JAGs. We don't play soft every game because Shalala is denying athletes into the University. We did just admit Gerald Willils who had been in 3 fights at his former university. We also brought in Michael Wyche who had a brief history with trouble but turned his life around. You think Jamal Carter, Trayone Gray, Artie Burns, Ryan Mayes, Stacy Coley, Mike Smith, Chad Thomas, Herb Waters, etc. did not grow up in the same type of environment as Pie Young?

We are not losing games because of this mythical sentiment you are trying to grasp at. Not to absolve the administration, but we are losing games because of our coaches are allowing poor play to happen or they are teaching the poor play that has occurred on the field.

Miami checked in with Pie this morning and cleared the air he is being recruited as WR.

Regardless he wants out of Miami but at least we're recruiting him at WR.
