2028 Kevin "Tootie" Hartsfield 4* RB from Covington, GA (Newton HS)

Guy's the goods. Just led his team to victory in a battle of unbeatens. Lifting his program at Newton. In the last 4 minutes, hurdled a guy going into the end zone, trucked a dude on the sideline, and caught the winning TD between two defenders. Then talked about loving the work at practice in a post game interview. Definitely has the appearance of a 'Mario guy'.

Yeah heā€™s the one. He had some great change of direction on the run near the end, but isnā€™t it kinda malpractice to show a fumble on a highlight tape? šŸ˜‚

I hope we get this guy but I am cautioning all of you that Covington isnā€™t really metro Atlanta. Everyone around this young man is most definitely a bulldog fan. Covington isnā€™t ā€œcountryā€ but itā€™s pretty close.

Itā€™s this jit and Wally Harmon from West Boca for me. We land those two, and Iā€™ll be happier than a šŸ· in šŸ’©ā€¦.

"For me, Miami is another school ā€” because I used to stay in Florida ā€” is like another home for me," he told 247Sports. "I've lived the Florida life for years. With the running backs they have this year, like Mark Fletcher who's going to the league next year, their running back room is starting to do great things every year."

Prior to the Miami visit, Hartsfield has taken recent game day visits to Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia. The Bulldogs are the program most closely linked to Hartsfield, and he's already been in Athens for game days three times during the 2026 season.
