“It is so many different schools.
Texas,
Miami,
Michigan,
Georgia and
Tennessee are probably the top five right now that hit me every day, but there are a lot more that reach out a lot.”
“Georgia and Miami are definitely on me the most,” he said.
Miami has also emerged as one of the schools Hartsfield continues to think about.
After attending camp in Coral Gables, he left impressed with both the staff and the atmosphere surrounding the Hurricanes.
“Miami feels different,” he said. “The energy, the fans, everything about it is different.”
His connection to South Florida goes beyond recruiting.
Hartsfield has spent time training in the area and developed a comfort level with the environment long before Miami became heavily involved.
“I just fell in love with it down there,” he said. “The environment and the people are just different.”
As his recruitment continues to accelerate, Hartsfield already knows what will ultimately determine his decision.
“I want to study business,” he said. “I already have a business plan, so I want to go somewhere that can help me put that plan together.
“Being somewhere that feels like family is important too. I want to be comfortable calling my coaches if I need something. I don’t want to go somewhere where I feel like I don’t belong. Feeling like I am where I’m supposed to be will be huge for me. It should feel natural.”
