Shocking that the D held up much better against Clemson once Flagg left the field. Sure, they finally cracked in the fourth after playing 40 minutes. Otherwise, they won the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Thus, I'm sticking with Steele.

There is a reason MC took more D than O in the portal initially, the D was in bad shape depth, talent.

But most games they held their own, outside of MTSU, awful but I think there was issues going on that game, players were starting to get frustrated with the snake oil on O and checked out. You can't count an 8 turnover 45 point Duke game on them.

FSU and Clemson are just better teams right now period. Every other game they gave the O a chance pretty much.

He was headed to Maryland before Miami.

Very high profile job.

He sucks. If he was elite he would be at a elite job.

If he was he would be at bama, taint, Clemson, georgia or another big time program.

Give him a extension. For some reason yall want to keep sucking at football.


How about spending the big time money we are spending on a elite coach. Just saying.

I never said hes the sole reason.

You cant give up that type points to duke and mtsu.

If you like him thats fine but he isnt elite and we are spending elite money.

Do you not agree we should get the best coach for the money we are spending?

We just going to walk away from the Pick 6s from those games and the unreal TO differences?

I’m not absolving him completely from those games but Steele has been fighting up hill battle since the season started with probably the worst LB core he’s ever had and the best kid being a true freshman.

Look judging the season I see a Dline that has kept consistent pass rush without any stud pass rusher. LT, Jackson, Messidor and Kelly look like their going to be great next year
Wes has been making strides all year
Kam has taken his game up to an AA level
 
Very happy to have Steele. Hope he and Strong stay. Defense is not the problem. We need stability there. Next year we’ll be vastly improved. Only guy I think needs to go is Addae.

After 11 games he has the defense ranked 37th. Cry as much as you want, it’s not a “he sucks scenario”. Do we want him in the top 10? YES! Should we expect it year one? NO!
