Let's not leave this old fart out of the fray he got worked vs the 1st offense we faced. Those 1st 3 weeks we slept walk on D vs teams with no QB or vertical passing attack. Not having a pass rush, with slow *** corners and ****** tackling was the perfect remedy.

Live in upstate South Carolina my Clemson buddy’s hate the guy from his time there was just hoping for better I guess but ****

At least we got the offense and defense on the same page. Both suck

He didn't even look that good against BCC. I think his first team D allowed like 360+ yards midway thru the 3rd qtr. His D did look good against Southern Miss and ATM and I was becoming less concerned about his defense. He was taken to the woodshed today. MTSU's offense didn't play timid even with the lead. They had all the confidence in the world and took advantage of his coverage schemes. Steele had no answer or adjustments. Very discouraging for sure after two solid performances.
 
They weren't doing much on the ground or even in the middle of the field.

My biggest complaints was the lack of any help over the top.

Does he not know our biggest liability on the team? For real though, he might not as we've got mediocre WR's they face all week. He likely sees them with decent coverage every day.

Credit to their WR's and some nicely thrown long balls. They had more juice than any corner we have on the roster. We need major help here. You can scheme around different positions, but they're getting bested one on one.
