not surprised, players didn't like him
i don't know this for fact, but i can tell you that i witnessed the RBs fighting/screaming etc. each others in many games, especially as the season evolved. at one point, Knighton got in Chaney's face and had to be restrained. it got ugly.

now, if players didn't like Smith that could be a reflection of the players too, since we know the culture was/is broken.

Well you had 2 cancers at rb last year who are no longer here and then I thought I read somewhere that Chaney is no picnic either. If Citizen didn't get hurt he definitely would have been in the top 2 a couple games in.

Parish did. It'll be interesting to see if he stays. I would guess he does.

parrish wanted to sign with the U but I believe his family didn't want him to plus i think we took chaney and knighton that year and space might have been an issue. so i think the moment space opened for him at Miami he came and might have come with or without Smith (i don't know). remember, parrish is also a CCHS alum and so is Mario and Mirabal and that should be enough to keep him here and happy.

Is this a result of cleaning out dead weight or is this a position that DAwson wants his guy for?

I always had good impressions of KS and thought he did well both on the field as coach and off the field as a recruiter.

Me too. But my eyes have been opened recently about others on staff. I haven't heard anything particular about Smith and recruiting.

I think I know what you mean, but holy **** do I hope this is really not what the "big leagues" look like. Changes because of positive growth are great. These changes almost all stem from other reasons.
Some of these changes are not independent of other changes. Strong wanted the open DC position and didnt get it. Doesnt mean he was a failure as a LB coach. With a new OC, its no surprise the RB coach left.. the new OC will want to choose his own RB coach.

Speaking of Seider, why did bro have to help Diaz on EVERY defensive recruit PSU landed in 2023? Seider was literally the Primary on any recruit Diaz was involved w/ & I believe that was only 3, total.

Bring Seider HERE NOW!

Why? Because he’s a much better recruiter, but you already know this. Manny‘s biggest failing was his inability to recruit decent defensive athletes here, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s an issue up there.

Jajuan would be a good grab, but something tells me that’s not going to happen.

Yeah , he wasn’t a take.

He’s a mixed bag. I’ll just say that.
