They didn’t turn freeling downAnd there’s the first casualty of our recruiting cycle. Can’t remember us turning down a recruit this highly rated since Monroe Freeling.
That slow playing is tantamount to dropping a player. If we want Gamble at safety and are telling Caldwell not to commit when he is so sure where he wants to go, we’re pushing him away.Holland didn't say they were moving on, they were just slowing the pace of the recruitment down. The situation is "fluid". This could be a variety of things. Cristobal is famous for not pushing for a commit prior to the kid being sure.

Multiple comments and agreements (30+ upvotes on this comment above) from users showing that we were slow playing with the amount of interest we had at the time.In past years we'd be begging for this kid, now we aren't even sure if we have space for him. I still can't comprehend what Mario and Mirabal have done on the recruiting trail. Best recruiter in the nation
Freeling will be the toughest to land, imo. FM is definitely playing tackle for us, imo, and Samson should be the other tackle - we'll see when he gets to camp. Freeling is the truest tackle, imo. From what I understand, Freeling is waiting for the green light from staff although I'm not 100% sure. Looks to be a ND-Clemson battle with UM in there.
Clemson was on him and early on perceived as the favorite but he lost interest in them for whatever reason. Even they have conceded and their writers have stated this is Miami/UGA/Notre Dame but Notre Dame has filled up on the OL.
him not being the highest priority appears to be the caseGaby reporting that Freeling and Mirabol spoke last night again. Sounds like Freeling is one of the Ol recruits who have been reaching out to the staff since Mauigoa’s commitment.
Cribby had another post talking about Leo’s plan B is 99% better than anybody else’s plan A.In his "most wanted recruits thread" He added to it since early this morning - "Freeling told me he wanted to see Ohio State and/or Michigan at the end of July and then take fall visits. My take is if a commitment date gets set in July, writing is on the wall. Again, I know they spoke last night. I'm not sure what about but I've been led to believe multiple linemen are in consistent conversation with Miami. Okunlola has remained extremely available to Miami in terms of communication which is a great sign. Kids tend to go cold on coaches when they're no longer interested and that hasn't happened with any of these linemen."
This would be a great consolation prize if we miss on Olaus
Except there's an interview he did recently where he almost said exactly such...
Frank Tucker (who works for Miami now) put in a crystal ball for him prior to the commotion. No he's On3. Frank Tucker. They have a whole new crew at Rivals for Miami.
No definitive word from D$ that i can find but plenty of people felt like we were getting fullLots of chatter about Freeling on UGA site. They are NOT happy with Searels recruiting.... LOL With Lew committing to the Canes, they are going all in on Freeling...
Should have a good shot at landing him. If Miami is confident on Samson, as they should be, we’re done on the offensive line. Freeling played himself if he really wants to be here. Take Samson, sign 6, and we out.

This is what i found. I missed it on my first search. D$ pretty much says it without saying it in the OP of these quoted comments; and Cribby says it explictlyI swear there was a Bank/ATM that said that Freeing wanted in but we had others ahead of him. The comment was to underscore just how elite OL recruiting was that 23 cycle.
Why the skepticism on freeling? His social media is all canes.
the staff is trying to figure out the numbers especially with oline and to see if they have room for Freeling.
Think about how wild that is for a second
From waif I hear as of now there’s only a few OL with the actual green light.
I was told he doesn’t have the green light yet , it doesn’t mean he won’t eventually. I trust whatever they decide.
I still think there’s a chance he’s in this class. We’re just playing big boy recruiting. I only said he doesn’t have the green light.

@DMoney comments on the recruitment. May have a lot of Miami crystal balls, but he hasn't been hearing a lot about Caldwell from his Miami sources. However, he also mentioned he's not yet specifically asked about Caldwell. Plans on doing so now though.
Knowing that Stacy Searles was his lead recruiter just adds more evidence to my conviction he wanted in when we didn’t have a spot for him. It’s hard to undo a slow play of an elite player like that.Well according to uga insider freeling almost committed to miami and that safety aguero. And notice he said yet on the green light and so apparently he ended up getting it
Man you are one petty MF to go back 3-4 years to prove a point about a recruit we didn’t get and post the “evidence” on another (current) recruit’s thread. This is what i found.
