-UM has offered wide receiver Binjimen Victor, cornerback Trayvon Mullen, cornerback Malek Young, and linebacker Alexy Jean-Baptiste.
-Victor (6-4, 175) is the top receiver prospect in South Florida for the 2016 class. Victor finished his junior season with 811 yards and 12 touchdowns. Victor has a strong combination of size and speed. Florida is believed to be the early leader for Victor. Auburn, LSU, and Ohio State are also serious contenders.
-Mullen (6-2, 175) is the top cornerback prospect in South Florida for this class. He is one of the most sought after recruits in the area and has Miami outside of his top ten. Florida State is the early leader with Florida, LSU, and Ohio State also contending. The Hurricanes will continue to push and show interest and see if they can climb his list this summer, but they have a ways to go.
-Young (5-10, 175) is a cornerback prospect that committed to Georgia in early April. He is one of the fastest players in South Florida and has been clocked at a 10.7 in the 100 meters.
-Jean-Baptiste (6-3, 190) claims offers from schools like Miami, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisville, Maryland, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The Hurricanes extended their offer to Jean-Baptiste in February. He plans to take his time with his recruitment.
-Miami has also extended an offer to 2018 cornerback Migel Edwards.
Coach Beard was hired as UM’s wide receivers coach this offseason. He will be recruiting Broward County heavily and hopes his ties to the community can have an impact.
