The same energy recruiting OL is needed for DL. That does not seem to be so right now

Think they give it as much energy as they can but those schools know on defense this is the most important spot to be elite at. And they will do everything possible to land them. Good for them.

Until that changes we won’t win the natty. Can we get into the playoffs? Maybe, but as soon as we meet one of those top tier teams, we going fishing.

That energy is there but Miami is fighting the big boys and at a position they have no players or development they can sell. They are doing the best with what they got.

This is all part of the game. Outside of QB, DT are the most coveted position. You don’t just land the top guys without a proven track record.

Doesn’t help that Florida doesn’t produce many DT bodies types and if they do everybody down here trying to get them. Also have to do a better job going after realistic targets.

I want us to rag doll teams, that is the way. Kids already know we can be good and they know we need them but they take the best deals over and under the table and relationships. Thats what and will always care about, it all comes down to family.....who can take care of my family. And thats what it should always be about for anyone.

Exactly. And, some people just don’t know how much of a coup it is to pull Kennedy over Mizzou. Mizzou has been putting quality DL in the NFL since Gary Pinkell was the head coach. Their DL development is as good as anybody’s but they don’t get the media hype.
