Kendrick Norton tweet

Yes. It was noted earlier in the thread that the draft council only awards 1st round, 2nd round or 3/later grades. So if they don't tell you you're a first or second, you could go anywhere from third round to undrafted.

I really hope someone can talk some sense into some of our guys because we’ve had a bad run of guys leaving early that really should have stayed.

Canezum defended his thesis “OL’s pave the way for RBs: why brett romberg was a better prospect than mcgahee”
Nice one! Tony Perps got you there Canezum. Quality and Captain O-line man undrafted and a beast of a running back who could have lost his leg was still drafted 24th in first round and they where both consensus All Americans

Actually no. Tony made the same stupid analogy for the o-line as he did for the d-line, singling out one person as responsible for the success or failure of that unit, and then prescribed this as canezum's position, when his was actually the exact opposite. Canezum makes the correct point that the line works as a unit, and the job of the 1 tech is to take up extra blockers and force the o-line into 1 on 1 match-ups with the 3 tech. The o-line works as a unit as well, and Willis ran behind a starting o-line that featured 4 future NFLers and 1 CFLer.

WalterFootball.com: 2018 NFL Draft: Defensive Tackle Rankings

Mcintosh isn't even listed. Norton is around 16...which would be rounds 3-5...probably later in that 4 or 5 range. They both should come back if to be honest if you are taking the experts opinions. However, keep overrating our players like we do every year...makes sense.

Walterfootball is the end all be all in the draft right?.....

Those rankings are based on 2016.

Those rankings were last updated December 16th.

Stupid statement. And this actually was upvoted. DW I'm disappointed.

They will have a chance to get an evaluation from the NFL. If they take that free advice, and they are told that they are lower than 3rd round picks, then they should return to school. Pretty simple.

This! Nothing else needs to be said on the matter, including this sentence.

Problem with too many of our players and dopey fans is that they disregard independent, arms-length advice and always think they’re the exception to the rule.

Listen to the pros! Don’t shortchange yourself by listening to ****** advice from leeches. That DT position is one where you can absolutely explode in your 4th year playing. These 2 are far from finished products and far from maximizing their paper.

Yes, Norton would project better.

The only reason you think Mac is better because you see his effect on the field but did you ever think his impact was directly related to Nortons impact.

3 technique tackles are much more common than 1 techs. 1 techs don't get the accolades and they don't show up on film and the stat sheets but they keep guys like Mcintosh from being sealed out and double teamed. They set the point of attack and anchor the run defense.

A guy like that is much more of a commodity than a guy who splits gaps.

Kendrick would be much more of a prospect than Mac in this evaluation.

This is why I compared you idiots to the fools who praise the Running back but don't respect the o-line.

You clearly don't know **** about player evaluation. just keep pulling up stats and highlights.

Go that way --->with the stupidity....

Thanks for the football lesson Dr. Canezum5. Hopefully you can impart this wisdom to NFL teams too. You dont know anything about football. You read an article or heard a hot take about how gap fillers are more valuable than pass rushing type DTs in today’s NFL and thought you actually knew what you were talking about. It’s pretty easy to spot people talking out of their *** and trying to sound smart.

McIntosh was a better player with better physical tools. Not rocket science.

McIntosh was better. So says the draft.

Doesn’t this make anyone think he could have been a first or second rounder with one more year under his belt?

Could have been a real nice pay day for him.

I was wrong about him coming out. He definitely should have stayed

Thumbs up for sacking up. Nobody is ever 100%.

With very good players like Shaq, Pinck, & others going into their third year I think we’ve actually got a few similar players that might need that fourth year to get that extra development or even just exposure to move up and get into those first 3 rounds.

I can’t help but think McIntosh would have made some big money with one more year and a lot more hype and plays for scouts to see. Most of his tape is from 2017.

This year I think some of our third year guys might need the the fourth year not only for football development but to develop their bodies a little better.

We’ve got some people saying things like they’re 1st and 2nd round picks after their 3rd year, when right now, it doesn’t look that way. It’s counterproductive for our own fans to unjustifiably overinflate our players when it comes to draft status.
