Trying to improve is ACT scores before he commits... diesnt want to go JUCO, so he has till April 15 i think...

If he improves his scores Miami should give him a shot. He's 6'2 with long arms and good bloodlines and a hard worker. If Aldarius, Lamar Miller, Trayone Gray can get in McFadden should get a shot as we'll..

Do kids from Miramar even consider UM anymore? Last I heard, a lot of players from that area aren't really as fond of this program as they once were...

They didn't even pursue any of the kids from Miramar outside of Tyreke Cole, who blew his shot at being a Cane.

Star safety McFadden bolts Miramar for charter school

On National Signing Day, Kendrell McFadden's absence at Miramar didn't go unnoticed.

Recruiting experts and college football fans across the nation — from Notre Dame, Kentucky and Ohio State to North Carolina, Arkansas and, especially, West Virginia — wanted to know the four-star prospect's whereabouts, or rather the where's-he-headed?

McFadden wasn't part of Wednesday's signing day ceremony at Miramar High School because he's no longer enrolled there.

McFadden told the Sun Sentinel on Thursday he left Miramar in mid-December to enroll at International School of Broward (ISB), a charter school based in Hollywood.

"They're starting a football program that will be playing next fall," said McFadden, whose godbrothers are an integral part of the school's football plans.

Whenever he decides to hold a signing ceremony, it will take place at his news school, "as a way to let people know it's a football school," he said.

ISB was declared one of 78 independent programs when the Florida High School Athletics Association released its football assignments for the next four years, starting with the 2015 season.

McFadden, a widely sought safety and one of the few top South Florida prospects still unsigned, said he transferred to improve his grades and boost his test scores before signing with a school in the near future.

He's currently awaiting test scores, which he said could prompt him to sign with a college or university. McFadden plans to announce via Twitter.

"When it comes time for my ceremony, that's when I'll also release my top five," he said.

A former West Virginia pledge, McFadden said the Mountaineers' offer still stands, but other college programs, including Kentucky, also remain interested.

On Twitter, he's received dozens of entreaties from fans of both schools.

McFadden, rated nationally as a top-20 prospect at safety, reportedly has 20-plus offers, including those from Alabama, Central Florida, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State.

A McArthur transfer in 2013, McFadden helped anchor Miramar's "Dark Side" defense, which featured a secondary unit whose members were all committed to FBS programs.

The Patriots' season came to an abrupt end in November, when Miramar officials admitted "impermissible benefits" violations in the wake of allegations made by Matthew Strout. The ousted coach leveled a variety of accusations that included rampant academic tampering and illicit cash and gifts given to players.

The school also acknowledged grade-fixing for several football players. Miramar principal Maria Formoso subsequently stripped all school employees of access to student records.

Miramar remains under investigation by Broward Schools.

"Everything that happened affected everyone," McFadden said. "From Jeff Hill, who is a team captain, down to everyone else. We all learned a valuable life lesson. We learned football isn't always going to be fun. That it's a business. It was a really important life lesson."

What did he do?

Kid is a thief...

As in he causes turnovers or more in the literal sense, which would be a disturbingly character flaw if true. How do you know he is a thief?

Such as? Golden has been over looking a lot lately, so how bad could this kids luggage be, or the better question may be is he worth the 2nd chance effort?
