KENDAL BRILES

At this point, Mike Leach would leave the **** hole that is Washington State for a ham sandwich and some gas money. Hire that lunatic and give Manny a nice boost in title and pay to keep him appeased to stay thru the transition.

Leach would do incredible things with this talent. As it currently stands, he's stuck with like the 4th or 5th best talent leftover from the west coast

Sidenote.. I'm not even sure Manny is all that great, we've played anemic offenses all year. But we could do a lot worse

Leach has also lost to Portland State multiple times. We'd have a better offense, than other areas of this team would leave you flabbergasted.

Gtfoh with Mike Fing Leach.

I know some of you gave up on this team this staff and this administration but please stop with he lunacy of Leach. This is the same coach that ran for zero yards a couple of weeks ago. No RB worth a **** would ever come here again. I guess people are enamored with an offense that throws 65 times a game and averages 5 yards a completion.

I can just picture his pirate *** walking the halls of Miami Central or Miami Northwestern trying to recruit a kid or sitting in the living room of some 17 year old from Pork N Beans.

Actually I can’t.

Lay off the crack pipe people.
Because those innovative shotgun formation across their body QB handoffs that Homer or Deejay run straight up the middle into Gauthier's ****** is working so well. Richt's also done an amazing job getting Homer and Deejay involved in the passing game. I can see young RB's salivating at this high powered offense.

Briles is the only answer here.

If you hire Kendal Briles in December and let Jon Richt go to another job, Miami is in playoff consideration next year.

That's how ridiculously good this kid is.

I'll go one further. Let's take a look at Briles career thus far, the performances of his offenses and the performances of the offenses at his stops before and after his arrival.

Now, I know this isn't a complete apples to apples comparison, obviously. For one, he's only 35, so there's not a gigantic sample size. Two, things change a lot year to year in CFB, especially at Baylor where all the issues occurred that we're all privy to. But numbers are numbers, so here we go:

Kendal Briles was the OC at Baylor in 2015 & 2016. He was the OC at FAU in 2017. And he's currently the OC at Houston:

At Baylor:

2015 -- #1 scoring offense in the country (48.1 PPG, 3 points higher than #2), #1 in the country in YPG (616.2 YPG, 37 yards higher than #2), #2 in YPP (7.26 YPP)
2016 -- #35 scoring offense in the country (34.6 PPG), #6 in the country in YPG (522.7 YPG), #37 in the country in YPP (6.13 YPP)

At FAU:

2017 -- #8 scoring offense in the country (40.6 YPG), #9 in the country in YPG (498.4 YPG), #11 in the country in YPP (6.80)

In the year before and after Briles at FAU:

2016 -- #80 scoring offense in the country (26.4 PPG), #72 in the country in YPG (398.3 YPG), #71 in the country in YPP (5.70 YPP)
2018 so far -- #36 scoring offense in the country (34.7 PPG), #20 in the country in YPG (481.0), #38 in the country in YPP (6.19 YPP)

At Houston:

2018 so far -- #3 scoring offense in the country (48.7 PPG), #4 in the county in YPG (552.8 YPG), #7 in the country in YPP (7.18 YPP)

Last year at Houston before his arrival:

2017 -- #65 scoring offense in the country (28.3 PPG), #40 in the country in YPG (428.2 YPG), #43 in the country in YPP (6.00 YPP)

So let's summarize ----- he took over the Baylor offense in 2015, which we all know was a juggernaut before he took the reins (he had been on staff since 2008 by the way, as passing game coordinator and WR coach, before getting the OC job in 2015), and in his very first year he produced the #1 scoring offense in America. In his 2nd year, they dipped to #35, but they were still Top 6 in yards and #37 in YPP. Not terrible at all.

Then he goes to FAU working under Lane, who was #80 in scoring before he got there, and in Year 1 they produce the #8 scoring offense in America and Top 11 offense in YPG and YPP. As soon as he leaves there, Lane still in place (he hired Charlie Weis' kid to replace Briles), they're down in every category.

Goes to Houston this season, and takes over the #65 scoring offense. In Year 1, through mid-season, they're Top 7 in America in every category.

Fellas....this dude can coach him some offense. This would be such an upgrade for this program, I really can't even put it into words. He would be absolutely drooling coaching all this talent. And he is only signed through 2019 at 400K a year. That's an easy buy-out, and you can double his salary and he'd do cartwheels from Houston to Miami to take the job. This is the #1 target. This guy is who you should all be screaming for. You wanna fly a banner? (As absolutely retarded as that is)....fly one saying "BRING KENDAL TO PARADISE"

What is this thinking the school will hire Kendall Briles. Of course he would be great but hiring a guy who had a hand in the sexual misconduct at Baylor would not be a very good look for the school.

"The lawsuit alleges Kendal Briles, former Baylor assistant coach, encouraged these actions and once asked a Dallas potential recruit: "Do you like white women? Because we have a lot of them at Baylor and they love football players."

ESPN would run with the story for weeks.

David Yost would be a better pickup, recievers coach under Mike Leach, then went to Oregon as QB coach/passing game corrdinator and now beasting at Utah State

Time heals all wounds. This will be his 3rd job since Baylor. That stuff is old news.

So ESPN would badmouth Miami if we hire Briles? What's new. Would that be before or after the "Catholics vs Convicts" marathon?
Also, seems like he was asking recruits a reasonable question. What if a recruit says, "not really, I'm into latinas." At least Briles knows he might have to move to the next kid on the board.

My point was there's a better option out there with less baggage. You would really want to risk hiring an employee with a checkered past when a better option is available?

Would love to have Briles if he wasn't a scumbag piece of crap

Yost would also be cheaper I'm assuming

I think this #MeToo movement has sunk in its claws a little too deep. Briles isn't even accused of a criminal offense, he has been accused in a civil suit and nothing has been proven. Just allegations. If he is found liable, then maybe we avoid him. But you don't blackball one of the most talented offensive minds just because of unsubstantiated allegations.

So Saban isn’t a scumbag piece of ****?? But you would welcome him with the quickness... FOH, bring in an offensive coordinator and quick, the chips are here to bring in more ‘ships!

I get it... but we won’t need elite recruits with him.. FACT

Thats good, because we won't have any. Leach would tear it up at a school like USF where he'd have access to 2 and 3 star Fl talent. But when it comes to competing with the big dogs in recruiting, he would make Al Golden look like Nick Saban.

Didn't realize Saban was part of a team and was sued for knowing about gangrapes by the football team
