Ken Dorsey Back in the 305 .... at FIU

Never implied that he would have been linebackers coach if hired. Just meant as the extra coach we needed to hire, could have been a offensive assistant.

Coach Richt for now apparently doesn't want any other cooks in his offense kitchen, only station chefs types. The whole to many cooks spoil the meal thing, which is unfortunate because Coach Richt's offense became very predictable last year.

Good luck Ken in his new opportunity, I am not sure how his new role as AAD/Fund Raiser will work out

Go Canes

Perhaps, KD has seen the other side of the fence and is legitimately interested learning the AD route. Not everyone is ****-bent on being a coach, recruiting, etc. which all comes with the territory. Ken is a smart guy, very competitive. He knows what he's doing. Congrats.

I agree P. Richt's not giving up the kitchen. Also, might sound crazy, but some people like to work. Throw in the []__[] fam factor with Pete and Borch and their you have it. Ken Dorsey, golden punter AAD.

Apparently some oy didn't read the article said he work closely with butch and Garcia.bet he helps out on the field.why cmr didn't hire kd maybe he hasn't forgiven kd for that game winning td pass in the 2000 fsu game.

I'm a big Dorsey fan as a coach. I got to watch him work with my HS before he went to Carolina. I thought he was impressive in how he coached and more importantly what he could actually teach (remember it's not what a coach knows, it's what a coach can teach).

This is an odd move, but something else is also very telling. Once he was let go i don't think he had much interest on the coaching market and i'm not sure why. Either that or he felt like coaching take away from to much else in life (It truly does cause these guys work 15-18 hour days) and wanted something that would give him some of the same experiences, or he wasn't that sought after as a coach.

He's gonna ride or die with Butch again cause without a successful football program, being assistant AD at FIU may be one of the worst jobs in college sports.
Lots of players and coaches who rode with Butch banked serious money because of it. I’m always happy to see Cane cashing checks.
