Kelvin Harris says “a couple” of coaches have turned down OC position

Sit down with Luke????? Whatcha talkin bout willis?

We talking about winning at Miami and if coach diaz is serious about winning here and wants to win Miami he better sit down with the real mayor of Miami and hash it out, if coach diaz doesnt understand that that needs to happen, he's going to have a hard time being successful. Coach diaz needs to needs to let it be known what's the benefit of the top guys coming to UM again as well as what opportunities are the guys who have groomed these players from early on going to be available to them, that's 2 area's that definitely need to be covered, had he gotten rid of coach rumph, he might as well had left with em!

Miami never had a problem getting coaches, cause we got alot of our coaches from in house, and when im saying in house, im talking about the whole of Miami. Rotating in and out were alot of prominent Highschool coaches as well, but they cut off doing that as well and keep giving these out of towners more opportunities than our own homegrown coaches and most of the out of towners have consistently failed. Those use to be the guys that would come in, as well as coaches on the dolphins staff, so the disconnect to the UM program is in full force.

Again, coach diaz has no pull, his only saving grace is going to be to sit down with luke, and help him figure out what he needs to do, otherwise, he's toast. Looking for all these outside coaches to come here with the state this program is in, those coaches dont care enuff and are not passionate about being here, which why i keep saying the main culture that needs to be changed is with the coaching staff, you cant get the UM culture with all these outsiders, might as well close ranks, and start looking around in house. If flake james was smart, he'd contact rob chudzinski, make oc/co-headcoach and than go to coach diaz, offer him the d-co job again, until he gets offered a headcoaching job at a smaller school before coach diaz gets in to deep, than let chudzinski put the offensive staff together. That maybe the only way to stop this leak.
Pass me some of whatever you are smoking

Anyone watching can tell that although our scheme was **** poor the effort also wasn’t there and players looked and even admitted (jarren) they they were checked out and going through the motions.
This is what happens when players listen to the noise and quit on their coaches. Anyone watching isn’t going to want to come change the mindset that 2 head coaches haven’t been able to change.
Why would anyone risk their reputations on dudes that don’t agree with a coach and then pout and go running off to social media and family about how screwed up it is instead of just putting 100 effort on whatever the plan is.
Georgia tech was running an antiquated offense that was laughed at by everyone and they kept losing but at least their players said fck it. This is what coach wants and we’re doing it.
And now we got the portal for them to run to also.

Georgia Tech’s offense worked.

Defense was sometimey and they were dead I’d they fell behind more than one score.

They recruited guys specifically for it and got yards and points. Expectations were low, so there was no reason to check out.

Compare that to Enos with his massive ego and arrogance forcing guys to run concepts they were not ready for. He insists on running the plays they perform the worst the most because that’s what he believes in.

He didn’t accept he had to alter his plan from day 1 and make the gameplan match the current competence level of the offense.

There was no doubt Enos would fail after Florida. He NEVER OWNEDhis unit’s performance and publicly threw his starting quarterback under the bus after setting him up to fail.

40 starts. This guy expected there to be no difference in his freshman qb whether he had 0 starts or 40 starts. That is PURE DELUSION and was prophetic in showing he would not be flexible enough to develop this offense.

It’s one thing to be a prick and get results. Being a major prick and setting your charges up for the worst performance of their lives is how you destroy morale and get tuned out.

So it’s ok to quit and be all poopy pants cause
coach worn run what works. It’s ok to play soft and embarrass your team uniform and family cause my puzzy hurts. Put out effort win or lose.
If you can look in the mirror while half assing it then
Cause coach won’t run a spread then I do t want to be your teammate. The losses will fox the problem of the coach. Playing like a btch has 100 percent to do with you.

There is truth to what you are saying, but human nature is what it is.

A lot of the guys didn’t “quit”. They just couldn’t muster the real emotional momentum necessary to play good football.

It often looks the same and has the same results.

Golden’s players, especially on defense looked like they quit too.

Richt and Manny got a lot more out of them.

It’s never ok to quit on your responsibilities, but I have seen first hand how an out of control process destroys morale and makes even the most dedicated guys perform below their potential.

Individuals can be better than the quality of their leadership, but you rarely see that phenomenon across a poorly led group.

well, hold on, is there any evidence that ANYBODY has been offered the job?

I mean, I can tweet that Gary Stevens is thinking about coming out of retirement to become Miami's OC again(BTW, I just might endorse this)
I liked Gary but his offense is so 1980's. You guys don't want a pro system but his offense was Schnelly's, and that was Dolphins' 70's-80's offense. He wasn't a spread coach.

This is something that I was just wondering about. You also have to think that some of these bowls needed to wrap before meaningful conversations can happen.

I think this is part of it. I also agree with other poster who says Manny may be looking to the NFL for the next OC. We may not end up with anyone special because of how horrible the 2019 season was but I'm pretty sure Manny is going to leave no stone unturned with this hire because this is it for him.

Whatever. Get a young hungry oc from d2 or fcs. Give him full reign. Must be a hurry up spread type only. I’ll take a d2 oc who runs a fast paced spread offense then some d1 or nfl pro style oc

No Thanks, we have enough "D2 or FCS" losers on this staph...this ain't no soup kitchen!!!

Knowing what you know about Manny & Mangina James I can assure you, they just started their OC search...

Doubt very little if any offers at all have been made.

Very true. There is a rigorous hiring process here. Finger prints, tax forms, Homeland security check, etc..
