I thought with #17 out #30 would get more burn. Hopefully the twitter shenanigans is done with and he’s out of the dog house. He’s looked good, but sometimes things can snow ball in the wrong direction.

I am not able to break down film to confirm this suspicion but just because you are popping on film and making plays doesn't mean you are playing within the system and handling your responsibilities.

It is totally possible that on many of the plays people on here are glazing Wiley he is free lancing and on some where they are trashing other players its wiley freelancing or just flat out not knowing his responsibility that puts the other players in bad spots.

Im not sure thats it but to me that is the most likely explanation why a dude doesn't get on the field even if he looks like hes playing well to the average fan.
 
truth nuke: wiley's gotten way too much sunshine pumped into his abilities. Most of this is affected by his dad being on these boards and supporting his kid (valid). but what we don't see is the coaches side of things, and they equally have valid reasons to not be playing him as much. what isn't helping is his dad hinting at any hometown bias with playing time or wiley saying #free30. Given the trajectory of the team in the last 2 years, I'm putting trust in the staff as evaluators on who should and should not be seeing the field.

Instant Gratification generation, nobody thinks they should wait for their turn anymore but the reality is everybody isn't going to be HIM day one... If you not getting your desired PT then put your head down, grind, work & get better then show out when its time, if you truly a dawg the play will speak for itself, this staff has already shown that they are not scared to play young guys if they are the best option.

Unless you've been at practice and seen for yourself that Wiley is making plays & not getting playing time then the upside angle is eh to me. I love fast athletic Lbs just as much as the next fan but there's much more to playing LB then just speed. Marcelin is getting plenty burn and looking good tbh so im wondering whats stopping Wiley from playing or whats the coaches reasoning for not playing him(unless he's hurt)

Who on this thread knows what the LBs assignments are for all the different looks we see?

Out of that group, who has seen footage - practice and/or game footage - of Toure, Smith, Wiley, Bonner, Pruitt and Marcelin?

For that group of people - who can say which LBs make the fewest mental mistakes as demonstrated by footage?

If you cannot answer those questions, how are you qualified to say “Wiley should be out there”?

The linebacker coach is who? Oh yes, he is the DC. I think he just may know more about the players and behind the scenes situation than anyone else on the planet. I'm a big fan of Wiley, but that post...... On this team with Mario as the head coach????????????? Gotta wonder just how bright this kid is if he thought that would end well for him.
 
Mario is the last dude to play favorites. CH is gonna play anyone and everyone who he sees fit and is ready. look at last year. look at Marcellus snap count until he got hurt.
 
Ain’t nothing wrong with developing 2 years and starting Junior and Senior year. That is how it used to be. But this NIL era has everyone thinking the grass is greener. Coaches money is tied to winning and success. The cream always rises to the top.
 
While we made it to the Natty with Smith, Toure and Bissainthe, one cannot discredit how much Scott and Thomas made the LB’ing corps look better than they were.
 
Social Media is a hellava thing. I truly can’t believe what I’m reading. WOW!

Talking about a kid having to walk back inside his position group with players that think they deserve to be playing more. And thinking they are just as good as the player parent posting about they kid deserves more playing time.

Craziest thing we are 4-0. Sure I’ve seen enough to think the rotation at certain positions should be better but we are 4 games into the season and I truly believe everything is going to come to a head real soon.

What would be really interesting to see a kid transfers at a position group where all the starters are leaving and that position wide open for the taking 👀

Still can’t believe we are 4 games into the season, 4-0 and have people tripping 😅

This is about winning. It’s pretty obvious something is amiss here. If KW can help us win, he’d be on the field. I will always trust the coaches in these situations
