ESPN is a joke in general. The whole company and network. Nobody even looks at their recruiting rankings.

Granted, its extraordinarily early and there's plenty of time for things to change, I'm not seeing why there's this level of optimism with this recruitment. Kid says there are at least 11 schools who are recruiting him more aggressively than Mario, JT and DLew. One thing that is for certain, Mario is never outworked for any recruit that he wants in the class and yet we're not even on the radar of schools who contact him a lot.

The only thing that tells me there's any hope at all is that Tucker seems to consider him a priority. Article made the kid sound like he wants to know more about Miami, but I'm not seeing a reciprocal level of interest at this point.

Something is off in this recruitment. Tucker is all in but Mario, JT and DLew don't have the recruiting intensity that corresponds with a priority recruit.

It’s super early. Not worried about it; Tucker should be ahead of schedule relative to our coaches. We don’t seem to be going after many 2028 prospects too intensely atm; and all 3 of our DTs for the ‘27 class were offered earlier this year.

Demarco Jenkins wasn’t even offered until August of last year. We offered Zeke and JJ in January. Kellan is ahead of schedule compared to them.

I know absolutely nothing but I just have a hunch that he's gonna be the one. I can easily be wrong with Hall. But I feel strongly that after the performance our DTs have this season, missing the 5 star DT will go the way of the Dinosaur. I personally feel like Hall is gonna end up being our guy, but I'd bet a whole lot we're getting a DUDE regardless...

My son (who goes to Tennessee and knows Kellen, but has been raised as a proper Cane fan) and I pushed him and explained he hasn’t seen anything until he sees Coral Gables.

I hate to to ask this because we’ve been down this road so many time over the past decade. Is it real or does he just want the U love? He likes he can play and you know we love trench bullies .

It’s different when the kid is a possible reclassifcation target, you gotta recruit them harder earlier on. The thing is Hall hasn’t visited yet which is why he isn’t being pursued as strongly compared to the other ‘28 kids who have; still, overall, i don’t see many ‘28 kids saying they are being pursued that strongly by Miami.

OT Malakhi Dudley said we were his number #2 school even though we weren’t one of the 5 schools pursuing him the most intensely. That said, if we don’t increase the intensity with Hall in the upcoming months then I’d be surprised.

It’s important to remember how valuable the junior year of film is for DTs. David Folorunsho didn’t get offered by Notre Dame until February; Miami offered in November. Jamar Thompson was a top 100 recruit for a bit, who said last August he had a great relationship with Damione Lewis, then released a top 4 of Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn and Miami in March; only for him to committ to Georgia Tech in June.
