I saw this kid play against my nephew’s team (Cleveland Hts) last fall. He’s big time. Euclid (Halle Berry and Robert Smith) and Hts are serious rivals. The game was played on a Saturday afternoon due to potential gun fight ****ery between the streets. It’s a **** shame, but there have been several instances of violence in the area, so they felt it necessary to move the game to Saturday. Euclid was completely washing Hts, my nephew was injured, he didn’t dress to start the game, but he went full Willis Reed and came out to start the second half. Telfair is legit. I don’t know how big he is, but he looks like an ideal nickle and return guy. He was killing it. Hts has some nice players, none are elite, top shelf prospects, but good athletes. Telfair was the best player on either team. It doesn’t take pro scout eyes to see him and recognize his abilities. Euclid was putting a whooping on Hts, they probably took their foot off of the gas, which was a mistake, as Hts came back and won. My nephew is a pretty good player/prospect, but in this particular game that boy went full on Al Bundy, scored 4 TDs in the second half, they ended up winning 38-23. Telfair is nice, he kind of reminds me of Denzel Ward. I’m surprised that Ohio State isn’t all over him. OSU seems to slow play a lot of kids in the state early, knowing that most will jump at an offer later in the cycle if they miss out on bigger, higher considered kids from out of state. It’s not a bad approach to play, they’re fortunate enough to do it and it work for the most part. That strategy would never go over kn South Florida.
