Keepin It Real: My Post Game Analysis…

Someone should pull up the receipts on this fan base options about Lashlee after the Clemson game or Semenhole game last year.....some of the same people praising him had a very different opinion. Not saying Grattis is better than Lashlee at all but it would show something about how our fan base thinks.
And after the Bama game last year, people were ****ed at Lashlee

As of this moment arguing Lash v Gat bro is equivalent to who the tallest person is in a room full of midgets.

I’m just glad you weren’t one of my HS teachers cause it looks like an “A” is tough to get.
There can be no A’s given when a team fails to score a TD on offense, and fails to cause a turnover on D.

Blades killed us on that last muffed punt by aTm. If you watch the replay, he had no awareness that the returner had fumbled. The guy had already dropped the ball and #7 was still looking to his left and seemingly thinking that the return man had the ball. If he reacts immediately, he either prevents the return man from diving on the loose ball, or gets there first. His reaction time was awful.

I would like to watch a bird's eye breakdown of this game. For the most part TVD had ample time. I don't think he was sacked once.

Yet he opted for short/behind the sticks passes a lot in the worst moments. Without watching I have a hard time believing our WRs couldn't get open with 6-7 seconds a pop. Either the routes or TVD were the problem there. Compounded with WR drops and well here we are.

Sucks watching no name WR making plays all around CFB yearly but we can't find a WR worth a **** outside X.

If you can demonstrate the route issues I'd be interested to see.
Im willing to say it is a combo of the route running, the route design and TVD. You are absolutely correct in that for the most part TVD had ample time. Missing Restrepo was a huge disadvantage. I'm not ripping on any WR I think they were decent, in fact one of the biggest drops was by Parrish. However this all falls on the coaching. One particular weak route was by Smith on a 3rd and 9? He ran a very lazy out route, it seems to me TVD threw the ball in the correct spot for a catch, but it was almost as if Smith wasnt even expecting to be targeted that play.

I dont have an all 11 view of the game film, I'm giving my theory purely by watching the TV broadcast

It's very generous.

Some people are very generous, but A&M didn't sell out to stop the run or even the pass. They played it safe all night long with two safeties sitting back there to take away anything down the field.

So the OL only had to deal with 4 down lineman most of the time. At times, there were only three. The backers were sitting and waiting on the run. Out backs talk what was available, but didn't do much of anything beyond that. You've gotta make someone miss their tackle, we didn't do that.

I'd say as a group, C at best. They were very average.
Those are very fair and accurate observations. Some posters were coming at me with pitchforks and torches last night when I originally gave the OL a C.

Definitely lazy routes

It’s not like they are doing so great now. But Mario won big there. He will do the same here. We will laugh last.
Are you being serious? Oregon got obliterated by Georgia in week one. But have improved each week since, including a beat down of a very good BYU team yesterday.

“Muscle memory” is a phrase that is used to describe the ability of any skilled person that is able to perform their chosen profession or talent at a high level through many hours of practice and repetition.

Most music teachers and professional musicians that I have known call it muscle memory when describing it. I can safely say that I’ve never, ever heard anyone in my field refer to it as “neural memory.”

Not saying that you’re wrong, just stating that it’s a phrase that is commonly used by most musicians to describe the ability to play freely without having to think through diligent and good practice habits.

I’m a proficient pianist, too. But my first instrument is guitar.

Also, playing from your heart is great advice. Use your ears above all, and play with soul and feel. Great technique usually allows for the aforementioned to be accomplished easier/quicker.
Fair enough, look up hand anatomy.
You'll be surprised how complicated the hand is.
I've used the term muscle memory, & my instructors too for most of my natural life.
'My hands are too big, my hands are too small', article
I read on the internet dealing with the endless guitar players lament.
Regardless, after a good night, i look up, and thank the Almighty for giving us hands.
Oh Well, Play on....

Amen, brother! Well stated. I will definitely look up “hand anatomy.” Thanks for the info!

Near perfect post. It is almost as if the coaches thought we were playing 5 quarters tonight with the tempo they were playing at. The very very best part of your post is this "QB: I feel terrible for TVD. We went from an uptempo offense that was simple, but extremely effective, with quick reads and routes in the passing game, to an offense that requires the WR to run for several seconds before the pass is even released. If I’m TVD, I’m ****ed, and let these ***kers know it. NO RPO’s or rhythm throws. Just terrible."

The route design in this offence is not good, and I am glad you noticed.
Thanks, brother! The evidence is clear as day for those that want to see. For those that are willfully blind, nothing will change their minds. TVD was set to have a huge season, but these coaches have managed to make him look pedestrian in just a few months.
