Good Lord. Why? Are the coaches this incompetent? Does Bellicheck do this with Tom Brady? Kayaa is not a running quarterback. This is fooling nobody.

^^This. That OL has to be the worst we've had in 20 years. That first sack Kaaya took was from a 4 man rush, and EVERY SINGLE GUY beat our guys easily. I rewatched it many times and still can't believe how bad they are.
 
Fine if you want to put him in shotgun to protect him but these fake handoffs look uncomfortable to him and seems to throw him off. I'm still not sold on Kaaya like everyone else. Yes, I agree coaching has a lot to do with it but his 3rd down completion % is what concerns me the most. He just seems to stay on 1 guy too much for my liking.

No but P. Maning did run the pistol. You dont need a dual threat qb to run the Pistol

Ok but it makes more sense to do it with a Qb who can take off. I mean, Peyton Manning could run just about anything because he's that good. He never did that pistol crap when he was it his best with the Colts. It makes sense when you have the threat of the qb taking off. Plus, this seems to be a hybrid of the read option and the pistol to me.

Whatever we are doing, it does not look smooth and it does not suite Kayaa's strengths. Play action, play action, play action.
 
Exactly. Works for Rozier. But not our starter. More excellent implementation from the coaching staff. Once again, this staff does not tailor anything to the talent they have. It's a joke.
 
Makes no sense. It's the kind of play that you could almost pull a guy into the office and say if you call that play again you are fired on the spot. What does Coley think that the other team does not scout and watch film? Is he hoping that they see a black QB and assume he can run? That has to be the only reason he could think he pulls that crap off. And if that is the truth fire him now. Let Beard call the plays.
