Kayaa only reason ...

All I would like to say is that I hope the new coach next year opens the competition up at QB. So many of you have annointed this kid as the savior of the program. Sorry, but I definitey dont see it that way. I watched a kid last night who missed an open Stacy Coley for a TD in the first quarter. Several poorly thrown balls in the game that cost us. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah he threw for 405 yards BUT he threw 49 passes so that big number DOES NOT IMPRESS. Just remember this fellas, AGAIN AGAIN he came up short. The kid has little mobility which hurt us tremendously last night along with less than impressive footwork. I can't be the only one watching KAAYA making very poor long ball passes ALL year long missing on TD opportunties. Open the competition because the kid is missing something and the FACTS remain he doesn't get it done when needed. A very nice kid with talent but WAY WAY overrated! Coley made an acrobatic catch on the TD. Overall impressed with the kids for their effort and was happy to see the DL play hard. Our OL needs an infusion of coaching, talent, and agility. FIRE AL GOLDEN MONDAY!

Lol lay the **** off the crack pipe dude. Kaaya was literally the only reason that we were even in that game. Our OL couldn't create any running lanes or give the kid any time to get comfortable. I can't wait to see what he can do with a legitimate tactician at OC rather than the joke that is #Dale .

At least you qualified your post by noting that you wish to fire Al Golden so at least you have some sense.

I remember when probably some of u said the same thing about Butch. Remember,
1. He was a terrible game day coach
2. Blew timeouts
3. Up by 17 against East Carolina at half n we lost

How about Jimmy Johnson
1. Up by 30 at half n loss to.maryland
2. Following week Hail Flutie

now Jimmy n Butch are Gods, all of you would of fired them. Mental midgets.

First don't compare JJ with the current loser, in JJ first year they stunk up the joint. However, he made changes and the rest is history. These 2 clowns have been doing this same crappy defense scheme for 4 + years.
Key words, made changes.

FOH! All that happened in JJ's 1st year...Folden has looked like JJ's first year His entire career.

Wait, people are seriously criticizing Kaaya? GTFOH. He threw for 400 yards, 3 TD's, ZERO picks, and single-handedly kept Miami in the game, a game in which they had no ability to run the ball whatsoever and a defense that gave up over 500 yards. On top of that, he was getting drilled on nearly every drop back yet still hung in there like a boss. He's thrown 1 pick all season and is averaging 300 yards a game on over 60% completions. You can't ask for much more than that out of your QB, especially behind a garbage O-line. He's a special player, not without flaws and areas he needs to improve, but a great talent who's being completely wasted by this coaching staff. It's sickening.

What if he he had more time to throw the ball?

Yeah, people are criticizing him. Why wouldn't we? 2nd worst 3rd down conversion rate in FBS. Two games in a row where he couldn't deliver in the 4th. You can't blame everything on the coaches. Players have to execute and come through in the clutch. I saw Golson deliver on their 3rd down play in the 4th by threading the needle under pressure.

Kaaya played pretty good, but threw off his back foot too much, and had too many passes batted down. Yeah, he was pressured, but what quarterback isn't (besides the ones we play against)? Right now he is like what Herbstreit said "One of the better QBs in the ACC". He is a work in progress but how the **** you crowning him after his career so far? 9-9 record as a starting college quarterback. Even Golden teams under Jacory and Morris had a lot better records.

People on this board have problems I swear man.... Kaaya is NOT the issue, however play calling( more so coley being curtailed by golden in the cincinatti game) and the offensive line f_cking up with getting blown in the backfield and penalties has been the most glaring issue. We run the offense better when it's uptempo and seem to be more productive, keep it that way. Plus we still have receivers dropping passes as well.

We were competitive n took lead. Alot of Cane fans made the trip to Doak. We need a couple difference makers on defense.

he had two drives two win the game and one last year....

please see what Kaaya is a good CFB qb thats it, nor special nor elite

he might be calm and cool but we need a QB with a fire that can win these games...

DONT ever ever compare Kaaya with DOrsey and he could not carry his jock

Completely agree. Kayaa played a very good game. he is a very good qb. But he had two opportunities to win this game and one last year. The rules are in place for a great/elite qb to win in the end. The best qb's in college football score. He didn't. Hope he learns and can find a way to win late moving forward.

Kid took s beating and kept delivering, last drive was frustrating but I don't blame Kaaya for that.

^^^^This guy is pretty **** smart, and he's right...

For whatever reason Florida State never seems to cover our receivers as well as other conference teams. Minus a running game, there is no way those guys should have been so wide open, particularly on third down and beyond the sticks. Consequently I'm not going to overreact to it and be certain that Kaaya has turned the corner. He's always been a frontrunner type. I expect he'll struggle again when things aren't going well.

Maybe our coaching staff spends an inordinate amount of time preparing for Florida State, allowing those openings. I've never fully understood it.
