I think it's on the O-line. You take away VT's pass rush and they are vulnerable to the pass big time. I don't want to rely on a freshman QB to make quick reads against an aggressive D - even a QB that has now been in several hostile night game environments.

I think the only way VT can score enough on their own to win/keep us from scoring enough to beat them is with flukey points - ie - points off of turnovers and special teams. If we limit our TO's and don't allow any blocked kicks or returns, this will be a Duke like win. Otherwise, see last years homecoming game.
