2026 Karsten Busch 4* LB from Louisville, KY (St. Xavier) PreCommit Thread (Flips to the Canes From Louisville)

how much does this translate to the field
i remember we obsessed in the off season about the polynesian mario brought with him early on who could move massive weight
and then he was a straight bust
Don’t know who u talking about, but Busch plays LB and is not new to the position. His film shows his athleticism the numbers just confirm what the eyes r seeing.

LB is a little bit different but could be this year's Fitzgerald. Only guy in the class enrolling late and written off as a contributor for that reason but comes in and physical tools put him in the mix. Fitzgerald was his instincts and magnet to find the ball that got him on the field.

Impressive stuff. Him and the Edwards kid are freaky at LB

I was just coming to post about Busch after watching his Hudl again and saw some others had similar thinking. I think he has a real opportunity to be an impact player this year. He's physically ready and looks very instinctual. He and Wiley are going to be killers.

He was also like 5’9”

I think he switched to DT and was decent at his next stop tho.

Back in the day we were imposing coming off the bus as a JV team we were BIG some questioned being the varsity sneaking them in to win JV game .
We lost most of our games , it was a shame my time we played against Buster Ryhmes RB , Willie Jones DE and Gilmore RB , Rocky Rumick RB just to name a few All Americans on teams we lost to.

To a certain extent your right , we we’re good enough but these dudes were all like the LB just overwhelming size and talent.

If we could’ve went back to the year before we could’ve won Dade County GMAC but 🥴🥴🥴.

Maybe this is why they didn't go as hard after LB's in the portal as I expected. I think the Campbell-Busch-Edwards trio may be much better than people have been expecting. All three are beasts IMO.

Karsten Busch
Middle Backer than is ultra aggressive, great closing speed

Jordan Campbell (junior season)
Versatile - Playing Edge, Safety, Linebacker

JJ Edwards (Mid Season)
Big time playmaker as an OLB

Henderson the following season as well is going to be the best LB group we had in a long time. Just on talent, these guys blow away the Shaq trio we had under Diaz. It isn't even close, and those guys were pretty good. But they weren't these type of dudes.

I'm a big Dan Morgan fan - that's what I want out LB's to play like. Have the instincts to make plays all over the field, hustle to the ball and be a great tackler. As a former LB I want this to become LBU again more than anything.

The staff loves edwards

He reminds me of Leon Williams. Similar height and weight. I think 44 was a mid 4.5 guy. Busch might be a little quicker.
