Miami will need to portal for a starting LB.

You can’t go into next year with Popo as your starter and Wiley as likely your other starter.

Wiley has the athleticism so I want to see how he develops with a full spring. He could be a dominant LB as he learns the game.

Bonner has another year. Not sure how good he is. And I think Chase Smith might be trying for another year. But yah we need a portal.

Chase Smith should NOT return that’d be insane.

Bobby Washington and Kellen Wiley need to ******* step up and win the job! AND we need to go Ang get a top portal Lb.

Has Bobby Washington seen the field in 3 years.

The room will look different next year. I think multiple leave and Miami will portal at least 2 if I was a betting man
 
Depending on what backers leave we may portal more then 2. We are losing multiple kids and Hayes is gone. Washinton could portal. That’s why we are taking 2 high school kids, only have a couple from last class. Yeah we talk about the kids here but not many have played. I’m thinking the number could be 3-4.

Played very little in 2024. I’m in the minority but I’d like to see what Hetherman can do with him when healthy. I’m not relying on him to be a stud or anything, but he is extremely talented. He’d have to transfer down a level or 2 to play because he has no film, might as well stay here and compete in a system you know and a trash LB room 🤷🏾‍♂️

he can do what chse smith does and bobby is likely faster than most of our safeties.....he could be of use.

People keep saying this but why on earth should we view that and just dumbly give out a high NIL offer for players In that boat?
Like people saying Fletcher will make more in NIL by staying than going to the NFL where he may not even be drafted… uh isn’t that a glaring red sign that he’s getting far more NIL than he deserves and we aren’t allocating resources properly?

Chase Smith has been better than I thought he’d be this year. But he isn’t close to a starting level Lb for where we need to be.
