Meanwhile, the Florida State Attorney's office for the 2nd Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee last week attempted to interview Williams about a June 23 robbery of an FSU student. Williams declined to speak to an assistant state attorney and an investigator from the Tallahassee Police Department about the incident last week, state attorney Willie Meggs told ESPN.com.

On July 30, Tallahassee police arrested Daravius "Gutta" Lawrence, 17 at the time (and now 18), for his alleged role in a robbery of Freightlin Shooter Cox, a 26-year-old FSU senior and ex-Marine. Cox told Tallahassee police that he was robbed by three men while purchasing marijuana at his home near FSU's Doak Campbell Stadium. But that purchase went awry, Cox told police, and he was robbed by two armed men.

Lawrence has been charged with robbery with a firearm, a first-degree felony, and faces an upcoming criminal trial as an adult. The two armed men haven't yet been arrested, according to sources close to the investigation.

Williams was listed as an "associate" of Lawrence on the initial TPD report, and TPD spokesman David Northway told ESPN.com that a police investigator attempted to interview him in late June.

Tim Jansen, who represented Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston during the investigation of an alleged sexual assault, is representing Williams for the alleged domestic violence investigation and as a witness to the alleged armed robbery.
"I have been informed by the investigator for the State's Attorney that Mr. Williams is not a suspect to the armed robbery incident back in June. In fact, I was told this morning that at most Mr. Williams might be a witness," Jansen said in a statement Tuesday.

Hitting women and snitching?!?! Lol

Hey but they winning right

Do you see anybody getting suspended for long periods of time...no

Smh...but we will continue to put Boy Scouts on the field

Datdude,

Just curious and want to make sure I understand what you're saying. Are you suggesting it is OK to condone criminal activity as long as they/we are winning? And should we not hold UM student athlete's to the highest standards? Again, not argue or neg just simply want to understand your message.

is AQM getting in a fight with a teammate criminal activity?

I don't want rapists and kids that beat their girlfriends, but I do want goons that will knock a ***** out that the tests them....

AQM is a reach for this conversation and I disagree with the penalty of course based on my limited knowledge. But I think we agree that we do not want rapist, female abusers, or thieves on the team. There should be zero tolerance for this type of activity.

Miami is not any better than anyone else, we should be trying to bury every bit as much trouble. This is not a basketball school, this is not a prestigious ivy league school. This is a football school. Do what you have to do to win football games.

You can take that as far as you want, but it should absolutely be the operating motto of the AD, the athletic department, and everything/everyone that supports it.

Jimbo said if he had a son, I would look just like him...

Seems like the Tally police sucks at getting people to talk to him.

In all fairness, nobody needs to talk to the police anywhere.

Yeah, ask Kevin Olsen. In Karlos' defense, at least he didn't have a .04 BAC. That would probably get him expelled and banned from FSU's campus.

LOL!!! The interesting thing is, the dude who was robbed says when he wants to buy weed he calls Williams and he sets it up. Doesn't that sort of make him somewhat of a dealer???

Strongly, in the most emphatic terms possible, disagree. Miami is much better in all factors than FSU. If lowering our standards to FSU's level is what it would take to enjoy that level of success again, then I am content to enjoy seasons of above .500 ball with the occasional ten win season and hopefully a bowl game most years. I would never want this U to act in any manner similar to FSU.
