Kansas vs Oklahoma

LCE... I'd say the elite OL is worth the time and pain.
Do our fans have the patience to wait 4 more years of average/losing seasons just to get an OL good enough to where we can run the ball like a B1G team?

Or would rather be up & running with a lethal passing attack by year 2 or even possibly in year 1 if you snag a legit QB out the Portal?

I’m saying we should shift the focus into becoming a QB factory with a high powered offense rather than trying to be an old school pound the rock team.

23 points against NE
16 points against WVU
28 against KS with 1:30 to go

Riley’s offense needs Heisman-like performances at QB to look “elite”

Scheme, balance, and game planning gives an average OL a crazy boost. It’s just been so long since we’ve seen any playcalling like that. Only OC I cared for in the last 15 years is Fisch.

Perhaps both.... go with your strategy early... ehile. pursuing elite OL long term....

Lance Leipold is a good coach. I feel like Kansas was career suicide for him.
He needs to recruit the inner cities (KCMO. Top City, Wichita, Omaha, STL, etc.) in the Midwest HARD as well as the portal if he ever wants his teams to at least be on Kentucky's level.

Man LCE I’m with you… but I’m watching Ole miss struggle against this talented yet poorly coached (sound familiar) LSU team with lane kiffin and a top 10 draft pick QB.

Really starting to believe that there is no perfect offense and at the end of the day it’s simply jimmy and joes is 80% of the formula with the last 20% is coaching putting them in positions to succeed

As much of a dumpster fire as Kansas football has been the last decade, they did win the Orange Bowl just about 15 years ago and Mangino built them into a solid perennial bowl eligible program.

Their run of bad HC hires since firing Mangino has been historically bad… worse than even UM’s recent streak of bad hires.

That is very true.
