History tells us that they're almost always wrong when they laugh off the ratings. Not always, but the exceptions prove the rule.
That just isn't true. 5s are better than 4s on average and 4s vs 3s etc but the overlap especially on 5 vs 4 and 4 vs 3 is huge. If you were just picking out of a pot obviously you'd take the higher * guy but you aren't picking out of a pit.

I'm no scout but outside of 2022, there isn't a whole lot to get excited about there. When you sign someone ranked <500, the odds strongly favor them contributing very little.

So when we shift from DT targets being top 150 to in the 900s, that ain't good.

Way too early on a good bit of that list though.

Don’t forget…. Ray Lewis got the last scholarship that we had during his Senior season. It could happen…🙄🤣😂🤣
Well he was beast in highschool 😂 but I get your point 😂 you also remember Rudy was a walk and he got a sack

In case anyone has VIP

Kaleb Morris is a 2026 defensive lineman who recently committed to Mississippi State. Morris is a prospect from Mary G. Montgomery (AL) who is 6-foot-4, 280 pounds. This is a big bodied-player who David Turner was interested in from the first time putting eyes on Morris. Now he is one of the best prospects in the state of Alabama, and Mississippi State must stay at work. Because Miami decided to get involved this past week.

"I recently picked up an offer from Miami," said Morris. "The conversation with them went well. They told me that they really like my film and that they wanted to extend me a full scholarship offer to their school."
-
Morris told us that he has an official visit set up to Auburn in October of this year. He also told us that he thinks that he is going to be setting up an official visit to Miami.
