Kaaya vs Morris

I was starry eyed when I saw Kaaya exploiting the middle of the FSU defense. Was Morris ever a threat in this regard? Did Coley limit the playbook because Morris was simply incapable of doing the same? It seems we haven't been able to utilize TE's over the middle for ages until now. What a huge boost for this offense.

It seems all of our great QBs did this as a matter of fact.

Morris couldn't put any touch on the ball when he needed to. He was a good deepball thrower that's it.

Million dollar arm but never got it through his head that the check down and safety valve was still a solid forward moving play.

If you can't work the middle you can't be great. Makes life too easy for the defense.

This. SteMo was a elite deep ball thrower. Dude could flick his wrist and the ball would go 65 yards. Sadly all he had was that fastball

Most likely why he's on the practice squad on the jags. Cause of his arm

Kaaya is a future NFL QB IMO, Morris had the tools but couldn't read the defense. Kaaya is already, as a true freshman, light years ahead of Morris in regrds to recognizing coverages and putting touch on the ball. He doesn't have the same deep arm, but few do, and I feel Kaaya can improve his arm strenght in the off-season.
