imo Treon is more college ready who can use his mobility to help him get out situations. Kaaya might have a higher ceiling but i cant be the only who thought that staffed whiffed on Treon.

just speaking the truth some of you Cane fans love to wear your orange and green blinders on

Lmao Kaaya will be a 1st rounder.....I've rewatched the game this kid has IT......these next two weeks of cupcake games will help him tremendously

Not treon

I dont know you watched the game or your blind but Kaaya is not ready. Treon played vs South Florida speed at qb so it would of been a lot easier to adapt to the college speed. kaaya played with kids who had windows of ten yards

I watched Treon at UF's open practices throughout August. It was evident he had a hard time recognizing blitzes and struggled to see over the OL. He was sacked 2/3 times more than Grier and Mornhinweg.

Here we go again.

So what were we going to do? Change our entire offense around so Treon had some plays to run the read option out of?

Sure a mobile QB would far better as a Frosh in a start than a Pro Style QB. Because the mobile QB can just scramble and become a RB everytime he's in trouble. Whereas your pocket passer Pro Style QB has to stand in the pocket and either throw, or get rid of it, or take a sack.

That said, its not as easy as saying "Oh Gee if only we had Treon, we could have just thrown him in there". NO. Thrown him in there to do what? Run a pro style offense? Or were you going to change the entire offense around for one True Frosh?

Kaaya has a ton of potential, and I think will be a solid QB for us.

But he's a TRUE FROSH, who started ON THE ROAD, in GAME ONE, against a pretty decent Team.

He's also a pro style QB, so there is little he could do when things break down.

There are almost NO True Frosh that have much success starting in Division 1. And of those that do, almost none are pro style QBs.

Kaaya did about what anyone would expect from a True Frosh last night. That wasn't his fault. He should not have been in that position.

Kaaya will be a first rounder, Treon will not be drafted as a QB. I am sure SoCal speed is just as fast South Florida.

Well he def a better option that Olsen who is more interested in getting high? So Rosier was a better option over Treon? How can you have any faith in our coaching staff on anything

can't blame kaaya for the **** coaching that we have...

This, all of this, and there isn't a different answer.

If you are going to say the kids not a freshman QB, he's our QB, you **** well better come out with a better game plan than that.

I'm rolling with Kaaya too. It was his first collegiate game and from what it seems he wasn't necessarily put in the best position to succeed. You don't just give up on a kid like that. I have the utmost faith in Kaaya and don't doubt his ability to be a superstar from one game his freshman year...

Not to mention we don't have Treon.

WTF does this have to do with College ? SoCal speed over all is not even close to South FL . If you would get AG **** out your mouth long enough to base your own opinion you might get a little more respect.

I could care less or have no need for anyone here's respect. Another internet tough guy hiding behind his keyboard. The response if you could read was based
on a comment made stating that somehow Treon would have been better suited last night because he was used to playing against South Florida Speed.
Your and my opinions are just that- opinions. Unless your prepared to pull out some type of advanced metrics your response in nothing more than an opinion. Grow Up!
