Kaaya or Treon?

Here we go again.

So what were we going to do? Change our entire offense around so Treon had some plays to run the read option out of?

Sure a mobile QB would far better as a Frosh in a start than a Pro Style QB. Because the mobile QB can just scramble and become a RB everytime he's in trouble. Whereas your pocket passer Pro Style QB has to stand in the pocket and either throw, or get rid of it, or take a sack.

That said, its not as easy as saying "Oh Gee if only we had Treon, we could have just thrown him in there". NO. Thrown him in there to do what? Run a pro style offense? Or were you going to change the entire offense around for one True Frosh?

Well he def a better option that Olsen who is more interested in getting high? So Rosier was a better option over Treon? How can you have any faith in our coaching staff on anything

That's not the question in the OP you dumb ****

Kaaya is a pocket passer-- like every NC QB we ever had. He was not the problem last night. Considering horrible OC and protection, Kaaya did very well for a true freshman. He made lesser mistakes than the new loserville QB.

True Frosh is going to True Frosh.

He should never have been thrust into that position. Either Heaps sucked donkey d*ck, or Coley is a **** fool. You don't put a kid like that in that kind of a position unless you have NO other choice at all. And even then, ****, let him go out and see what he can do. Don't freaking handcuff him and make him play like a kindergartner with training wheels.

Last night was James Coley's absolute WORST night. I hope to GOD it will remain his worst night and the dude gets his head out of his ***, or we are in for a LONG season. I think the dude is in way over his head.

Treon all day, even though majority of the times I agree with Peete, but my take on Kaaya when he was in high school was the complete opposite. Yes we had terrible calls, but if anyone care to look back at the old threads when Kaaya was in HS my concern with Kaaya was getting sacked or hit too many times and not having the mobility to get away or just simply throwing it away. I like Kaaya I really do but on third down treon is my man, he adds another element that will keep a defense honest. Kaaya will experience the same thing morris did because defenses wont respect him as a runner.

Kayaa is going to be good he just needs better arm strength and better mobility to avoid sacks. other then that i think he can be good. Last night he looked scared and lost. i dont care what anybody says. the first hit rattled him. He is a tough kid and i respect that, the playcalling didnt play to his strength.

Lmao Kaaya will be a 1st rounder.....I've rewatched the game this kid has IT......these next two weeks of cupcake games will help him tremendously

What makes you think Kaaya will be an NFL QB, let alone a 1st rounder. He did not 1 thing last night to show me anything. I think part of our problems is the fans seem to think we are loaded with talent. WE ARE NOT. This is still on the coaches though, because they are the ones recruiting these players. We have a LBer, 1 WR, and maybe 1 RB that would start at schools like FSU , BamA, Auburn. Sorry, I forgot the punter for FSU. These kids who we have been watching since Midget football have to step it up also. I surely put blame on coaching, but the players also need to step it up before we will get out of this.

Lol @ kaaya being a first rounder . Just like Morris was gonna be a first rounder right? Morris is twice the qb kaaya was. wtf did y'all see from that game that would even lead you anywhere close to believing this kid has what it takes? Smh

Joe Montana would have looked bad with our oline play last night.

maybe if he didnt run a 5.5 forty he might be able to make some plays besides sitting around short arming screens and taken hits.

come again , i cant hear with you AG nuts in your mouth. Pay attention at this on the game Treon is better but the ceiling is higher with Kaaya. I watches several games of Kaaya in highschool he hasnt figured out how look off the receivers yet. One thing I agree with one of the posters he should of never been put in the this situation . I put all fault on the staff and L on the staff and Shalala for hiring pop warner coaches.

Lemme guess, Treon at QB with Ice as HC...

Brilliant!

That was funny

At this point ICE is more qualfied to coach at the U than AG and his temple staff. Who the **** would continue to feed gus up the middle when he cant run over a city league kid. He should of gave the ball to Yearby a lot more than he did. Duke needs to go back to returning punts if he is not slow to do these days. The strength and condition is coach should be fired to, only thing he does it put weight on kids and make them slow as dirt.

Twice the qb Kaaya is? Come on man..... I've watched one game from Kaaya so the jury is still out. But I also watched Morris's SENIOR year in which he only possessed one strength, and that was throw power. He threw into double and triple coverage, any short pass was overthrown or hit the ground.

He's a one trick pony. And he cost us many games last year and killed our T.O.P. And if all that wasn't bad enough, he repeated laughed and had a great time on the sidelines while we were getting killed. To say he is twice as good as Kaaya is absurd.
