Kaaya is 9 - 9 as a Starter and...

LULZ....09 FSU pass defense was horrible they ended up like 70th in the country dead last on the acc they got torched every week,

They were #108 in total defense.

Stats don't matter that much in Rivalry games. Both teams came to play that night.

J Harris got it done when it mattered............Kaaya did not!

:jordan::jordan:

Jacory has won as many "big" or meaningful games as Kaaya: zero.

Did he not beat Oklahoma and 11 win Georgia Tech (ACC Champ)........as a Sophomore?

This is not about a JH v BK

6-6 Oklahoma, yep, gets it done wehn it counts

Not quite. They were 8-5

He's not on the field enough to shine to elite status. Three main reasons.

1. The "it's about points not yards" mentality with our defense, who are content with giving up long drives
2. Third down conversions. Part execution, part play calling, part situational (3rd and longs)
3. Offense relies on chunk plays and has never in 3 years other than first drive of game shown ability to sustain long drives which is philosophy driven

The Kaaya situation is the equivalent of a MLB pitcher with a low ERA and good strikeouts per inning who's getting no run support and as such is sporting a subpar W-L record.

It's crazy people are trying to compare japicky with this kid and some how trying to say one is clutch. Guess we forgot the 4pick game against OsU that we should have won. The 4int game against Unc, Bc, the 7 pass 3int game against ND. The kid threw for 110yds against USF and lost. Lost t fsu completing 40% 0tds and 1pick. But but he is clutch. Lmao. The hating on Kayaa is beyond dumb. He has his faults, but a good coach has him as a RS freshman this year.

If he had Shannon's defense we would win every game

Did you see Shannon's Defense when he was a head coach? They were not that impressive at all. In fact, we haven't had a good Defense since 2005.

I can't believe people are killing Kaaya. When was the last time the defense gave him a short field. Kid has to drive 80 yards with a **** o line every **** time. Yall some **** clowns

Shame on Kaaya for not leading a comeback win. I mean he did lead a comeback down 17-3 took the lead late in the fourth but it's all on him that the defense screwed it up and let Dalvin walk into the end zone...again. Stupid fan base. We had a rushing attack that got us a whole 15 yards that game allowing FSU's defense to solely guard the pass but it's all on Kaaya who was our only good player in the game. Not to mention he leads the ACC in passing yards (and was second last year), he's not elite though.

In their first four games, the Seminoles allowed 564 passing yards, four touchdowns with three interceptions. Kaaya torched them for career highs in yards (405), completions (29) and attempts (49), threw three touchdowns and zero interceptions.
He put up numbers rarely seen against FSU since Jimbo Fisher took over in 2010. Before Saturday, one quarterback in that time threw for more than 400 yards against FSU (North Carolina senior T.J. Yates in 2010). Five had thrown for three or more touchdowns with zero interceptions — the last in 2011.
FSU entered the night allowing 16 passes of 10 yards or longer, one of the nation’s stingiest counts. Kaaya doubled that total. He threw 16 passes of 10 yards or longer, including eight 20-plus passes and touchdowns of 58, 1 and 29 yards.

400 yards would be good for my fantasy team. For my Canes, I want wins.

His record doesn't lie. He is the captain of the offense. He makes the reads. He calls the audibles. He rallies the troops. He is 9-9 running our ship. I don't care about stats. Some games are out of his control, but if he played better, converted better on 3rd down, or was clutch, he wouldn't be 9-9. I don't really like bashing him because he is a work-in progress but I don't even think he should have seen the field yet. In a good program, he wouldn't have played last year.

Honestly as good as Kaaya is as a QB, there is still something important missing from his game.... I don't feel he has been able to make the most of the opportunities he's had to win games that UM has lost regardless of the circumstances.

Are you insane.

RS Defenses:

In 2010, Top 25 D 317 ypg 20 ppg
In 2009, 321 ypg
In 2008, 315 ypg
In 2007, 345 ypg Fired DC after the season

Folden's Defense:

In 2015, 383 ypg and Rising DC BE WILL RETAINED after the season IF FOLDEN IS NOT FIRED
In 2014, 327 ypg DC RETAINED after the season
In 2013, 415 ypg DC RETAINED after the season
In 2012, 486 ypg DC RETAINED after the season
In 2011, 359 ypg DC RETAINED after the season

Brad Kaaya would have a significantly better Win/Loss record with RS's defenses.

And he failed to deliver at the end......AGAIN.

You can give him props for 400 yards and then make excuses for his OL. Wasn't that same OL on the field when he threw for 400 Yards?

again he is good not elite nor special

he had 3 tries against FSU to beat them the last two years,

ciny game

Bowl game

etc etc

again he is good best we have had in a while but not special
he is not a leader from what I can see....

great kid too.....

Ur blind

Nobody hates Kayaa but the praise he is getting should be tempered and is ridiculous.

The kid is just another college QB at this point. I don't give a f**k how cool he looks or talks or how many yards he throws for. Win a f**king game. Make a big play at the end of the game...do something.

What is Kayaa's signature moment at this point? He doesn't have one after 18 starts.

Wasn't enough.

He had the ball with 2:45 left and could not make it past the 50 despite throwing for 400 yards.

You become great when you actually make the plays and win the game. Otherwise you are a JAG.

Kaaya led a comeback down 17-3 and took a lead late in the fourth. Defense screwed that up. Not on him.
