Kaaya/Golden vs Jacory/Shannon

Nothing that a competent coach can't fix. Remember Kaaya is only a sophomore at the hardest position on the field. Bring in a coach that is capable of making him take the next step and he could be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the draft. It's not just Kaaya that lacks killer instinct, it's the whole team.

Post would make sense if this was a one on one game however the team that beat FSU included:
- Travis Benjamin, Allen Bailey, Orlando Franklin, Jimmy Graham, Hankerson, Lamar Miller, Randy Phillips, Daryl Sharpton, Sean Spence, and Sam Shields

I think we might have one - maybe two current Canes that are better than any of the above ten players.

At this point Kaaya seems to be about where Kyle Wright was, if not a little further along. Tons of talent/potential whatever, but not comfortable and not seeing things as quickly as he could. KW was always late with throws. I'm hoping we can get a decent qb coach to prevent the kw2m repeat. repeat.

J12 improved hugely in just one season under Fisch. Imagine how good KW or J12 could've been or now how good Kaaya could be with a quality coach in his ear.

So much talent undeveloped.

I disagree with this sentiment somewhat.

First off, the main issues with Kyle Wright were inconsistency, lack of touch, poor decision making, and holding onto the ball for too long. Threw as many touchdowns as he did interceptions (38/31).

I will say that one of the reasons why KW did not have a productive career is because he had 3 different OC's. That's pretty **** tough to work through.

I think Kaaya is smarter, he's not elusive but has made throws on the run to keep the play alive. I think he'll be more accurate.

He doesn't have KW's arm. No way. One of the best arms I've seen play at the U. In terms of arm strength, you could make an argument that he's right in the discussion with Jim Kelly or Testaverde. Too bad KW was throwing it to the wrong guys, lol.

Kaaya will probably have a very productive career in the NFL. I'd say he'll probably be much better than say, Jameis Winston, for example.

All J12 had to do was keep it within 15 yards in. He became much better and threw to his check downs.

Kaaya will be a good NFL qb, he's the mini version of Tom Brady but this is college where you have to have a dual threat with a gun that can sling it.

Fair enough. The arm is not the same, but Kaaya has pro-potential (like KW), doesn't see the field quick enough (like KW), and might be doomed to a run of OC's.

KW had a lot of interceptions b/c the ball came out too late & CB's were able to recover. Seems like a symptom of slow progressions & not seeing the field well. Coaching could've helped that imo. And like you said, J12 learned to check down with some good qb coaching. KW didn't really ever have that.

Kaaya's ahead in terms of decision making. Here's hoping Kaaya gets a quality qb coach asap, b/c I think he could really be something special.

Kaaya's pro potential is leaps and bounds higher than Jacorys ever was. If the coaching was half way decent this wouldn't even be a discussion.

LOL, are we discussing Stephen Morris

I dont know about that... I think talent wise Miami has at least equal talent than what was on that roster, even better at certain positions.

Jimmy Graham and Lamar Miller weren't in that game. Try Graig Cooper, Javarris James, Aldarius Johnson, Dedrick Epps...

Jacory got killed by two things, 1. He never looked off the deep safety. He had a brain lock that the deep post was always open now matter what. Freshman in HS no how to make that read. 2. He was horrible at play action. Kid never put the time in to learn his craft. Needed to spend Dorsey like hours watching film and instead he spent KW like hours.

Brad unlike jacoby doesn't throw multiple picks a game and doesn't throw the deep ball on every pass. Brad will throw to rbs and te's
