K9Cane's Corner: It's Just FAMU

View as article
- The defense gave up just 114 total yards. But again.... yeah, it's just FAMU.

I've been hearing folks mention this in a no big deal fashion. But this defense did what good defenses do which is shut down poor opponents.
Which is something I don't think has been done by this regime until yesterday. I'm not saying to be sold on them, but at the very least this is encouraging.

FAMU ran train on us a few years ago. This was the best the D has looked against a sisters of the poor team.

Rex, really? I don't recall that, please refresh my memory on that

As for this years D, let's see how they do the next few weeks. The Nebraska and Duke game will be more of a true indicator of where they are as a unit

Bethune Cookman ran train on us two years in a row (2011 and 2012).

It was refreshing for the first time in a very long time to see our defense dominate anyone.

For the better part of 3 years I have painfully watched opposing teams (FBS, FCS) run up and down the field on us repeatedly waiting for a self inflicted mistake to avoid giving up points or being able to get off the field.

First game I can remember under Golden where I knew the defense wasn't going to let the other team do anything offensively not because they dropped balls or had too many penalties.

The offense, was very offensive to watch.

I hit this offense!!! I've never been sold on Coley as a play caller and this year is adding to that!!!

The defense will start to look pedestrian with this awful offense, let they did last year. Al needs to get on Coley's ****.

Not that I ever thought Jedd Fisch walked on water but he was a good coordinator for the most part. He gameplaned well and was great with QBs.

James Coley on the other hand is just grossly incompetent. This offense has regressed under him which is a scathing indictment on his coaching. Under Coley it looks as though we are struggling against the current. It's tough for this offense to execute the most basic of tasks. I don't understand how this guy managed to work under Saban.

Even the most basic foundational aspects of our offense seem to have crumbled. Coley is a clown and is stealing paychecks from UM. Put this clown together with that buffoon Kehoe, add a head coach who's idea of a sound gameplan is to hide under the bleachers until the clock runs out, then add a true freshman quarterback and you get the abortion we have all witnessed so far.
