Many on this board seem optimistic after last weeks win. I used to be this way, but through the past decade, not so much.

Key notes:

The Wildcats are 60-3 (.952) in non-league home games since 1990.

From 1992-2011 under Snyder, the Cats are 42-2 in September home games during that stretch.

Since 1990, K-State’s record when scoring first is very impressive as the Wildcats have gone 134-26 (84-percent) when drawing first blood. Last season, K-State is a perfect 6-0 since the start of last season when scoring the game’s first points.

There is no better indicator of a Wildcat victory than when K-State leads or is tied at the half. Since 1990, the Cats have protected a halftime lead 97-percent of the time, going 150-5 when leading at the half.

We better come out ready to play a tough team in a tough environment. A win this weekend will be huge for this team. Go Canes!

not that we are very good, but I wonder what kind of cupcakes are padding those stats?

i doubt that they have played a lot of tough OOC teams at home early in the year

If you look to see who they have scheduled non league at home, you'd expect that record. The home losses are to Louisville, Fresno, and Marshall. Scheduling Miami is a change to what they have been doing. Their home record has no relevance IMO.

that makes for a great day

Key Note:

Under Snyder they play absolutely no one out of conference, especially in Sept. I'm not sure, but I am venturing to guess this game was scheduled
under the prior administrations watch.

This all being said I agree without 1000% if we don't come in ready to brawl for 4 qts, we will have a long SH*TY plane ride home.

Saturday is a true test of UTough & this teams mental make up.

Go CANES!

Snyder was the one who tried to back out of this game as soon as he was hired there IIRC. Good coach but feminine shoulders.

Finish him.

One of those wins came against USC the year Carson Palmer won the Heisman. That might be the last time they beat a good non-conference name team at home. They lost to Louisville at home in 2006. Beat a bad UCLA team and a 3-loss UCF team at home in 2010.

As Dan E. Dangerously noted, this home and home was scheduled during the period that Snyder was "retired." When he returned to coach at K-State again, he tried to get the series cancelled. He's infamous for his cupcake OOC preferences.

Louisville in 06 was bad? Wasn't this Petrino's last year?

KState is tough - Snyder's teams typically don't make mistakes. We have to change that Saturday.
And someone better put a helmet on Arthur Brown. He was a tackling machine against us last year - built his stock when he ran down Miller a few times in open field

this game is a huge swing game for our season. IF we win this, I think 8 or 9 wins is a def possibility

The entire Big 12 is. I swear to God NONE of them start the season with tough games.
Texas Tech hasn't played a BCS conference school OOC in 10 years. Really think about that.

Texas rarely leaves the state for OOC (this is first year they do - @ Ole Miss)

Like others have said, KSU schedules extremely light occ. Synder tried to drop out of our games.

I realize Golden and others are talking this team up, but its not OU.

Like able is saying we were a yard away from beating these guys last season. I'd be absolutely stunned if its not close in the 4th quarter. We will score on them

They are a good team and played really well last year, only game they looked bad was OU and I guess you could say arky bowl game, even the loss to Okie state they put up 45 points, their offense is really good and got better as the year went on, it all starts with their QB but they have some weapons that they use like the RB who ran wild on us and and #86 and #16 at receiver, everyone knew what they would do last year and still couldnt stop it, couple that with our assignment busting defense early in the season and it could get ugly at times. I really look forward to seeing what Coach D does as this is an opportunity to prove himself against a quality O while also having the opportunity to gameplan against.

Will Add, Okla mostly was able to slow down Ksu by blitzing all those read options and just bottling up the qb, also they did spy when they only bought 4. But their blitzes were very effective, only problem I saw is they had some really good safeties blitzing and we have Telemaque and #22 (who doesnt really seem aggressive at all to put it lightly).
