Keontra Smith getting pt as a true freshman would not be one bit surprising to me. The kid is fearless, aggressive and not intimidated by the college stage. Oh and he's also one heck of a prospect as a safety or a striker. He has great situational awareness, has a knack for making plays, is physical, can run and his man coverage skills could very well end up being the best out of the safeties and strikers. Did I mention that he's very intelligent with a great football IQ? I'm extremely high on Keontra Smith and think he was the most underrated of all our 2019 recruits. Barring injury this kid will have every opportunity to do great things here.
As far as taking away Friersons reps that's impossible to say as Gil is another one I am extremely high on. Competition will sort it all out. I am excited that we are finally beginning to stack UM quality players in the secondary. Guys like Hall and Bolden are no joke. I'm hyped at the thought of all these kids plus Blades and Ivey and how they will look with 2 more years experience. This is going to start to get fun again.
