Because he's first season was relatively successful, but he was relying on upper-class Beamer starters and all that. And now he's in season number FOUR, and the litmus test is a major failure of the Fuentes sort. hUh

Notwithstanding some of the neurotically challenged Hurricane fans, Fuentes has a very good offensive mind. He is also a terrible recruiter, but once he gets canned at VT he will get a gig running his offense at a big time program and won't have to worry about putting together a football team...just recruit QBs and put together a game plan.

What makes you think he knows the problems?
 
VT is not going to be an attractive job at this point for any valuable/highly sought after-HC candidate. It’s a major, long term rebuild and they still have the same expectations from the Beamer-era.

The post-Beamer hire was critical, and they missed. Unless they luck into an elite coach, They’re now an “NC State” level program.

I say good riddance. Va Tech has been an annoying program for too long.

Me too man I just don’t get it. I was at the Florida game we were the better team that day out played them but we haven’t looked like that since

the way he talks and people i talk to aroun the program. NO ONE says he doesnt recognize the issues, they worry if he will correct them.

keep in mind, he watched first hand to very well regarded coaches in mack brown and mark richt fall apart.
