Justin Fuente

I thought he’d do well there.

All good man. I thought he was a big question mark with too small of a sample size. Mainly though, there was a fair sized contingent that thought he should be a candidate here and nobody was saying he was bad. They have since forgotten that and act as if they knew he wasn't the goods.

What did beamer build?

That's not saying or mean that much these days...

IT doesn't matter what it means today. That was exactly what I said originally and people keep bringing it up like I said Fuente was the 2nd coming of Saban. Alll I said was "out of Richt and Fuente I wanted Fuente, since I knew what we were going to get with Richt, I would rather take a chance with the other guy, than get the guy that can never win the big game, suspends players, and can't recruit without bags."

VT problems are bigger than Fuente.

They can blame themselves for not making Beamer step down sooner. Dude was way past his best years and recruiting slip to the point. That nobody from that area is wanting to put on for them.

Foster is also past his time and has run out of former players family members to recruit.

The program is just a contaminated mess and no longer resembles anything close to what they were known for.

I still think he was better than burn out Richt, which is all I said. However, now I realize, Mullet was the best option. Best HC in the state of Florida.
Mullet is a 9-10 win a guy ceiling. They might make a run once every 8 years or so, but that's the reality

Matter of fact college football has become the NBA. A few good teams with a legit shot at winning it all and everyone else.

Fuentes is a good coach....he will end up at a big-time program after he gets canned at VT.....he just can't recruit and at VT it is becoming harder to acquire talent when their go-to regions Tidewater, northern VA and metro Balt/DC are getting recruited heavily by SEC and Big 10 schools.

Explain to the Hurricane klan how Furentes will get hired at a " big-time " program once he departs small-town rustic majestic Blacksburg????????????? dUh

Because he's first season was relatively successful, but he was relying on upper-class Beamer starters and all that. And now he's in season number FOUR, and the litmus test is a major failure of the Fuentes sort. hUh

Good to see FSU and VT fans squirm a bit after decades of stability.

Who they gona hire? Have to imagine Norvell would be off their list just on the fact they’d be making the same mistake twice. But I think Norvells for real, playing well on both sides of the ball now.

Agree. especially penn state, they Basically planted there flag there in that DMV area and pretty much own it. All those players on PSU that just destroyed Maryland last night used to go to vtech back In the day.
