Come On What GIF by MOODMAN

The thing with Bama is that they've been so artificially pumped with "ranked wins" that it covers up that fsu loss.

They'll point to wins over Tennessee, Missouri and Vandy. Three teams that have their rankings because they are in the SEC.

P.S. the "ranked win" metric needs to be shot into the moon. A win over #25 means so much, but #26 means nothing. How stupid. These committe ppl know what theyre doing to keep the SEC at the top.
As long as this is run by ESPN the AP will work hand in hand with them to boost the SEC.

Tennessee’s best win is who? I don’t think they have a win over a team that is above .500

Missouri’s best win is (5-5) Kansas?

Vandy’s best win is (6-4) LSU? Who fired their coach? And they beat the Missouri team that hasn’t beaten anyone by 7 pts

Beating a bad VT and a Pitt team that just lost by 100 to ND isn’t going to be a positive to our resume. The committee stacked teams between ND and Miami so that they won’t be compared to each other and thus the head to head doesn’t come into play.

We need to jump 3 spots in 2 weeks and hope USCw and Vandy don’t pass us. It’s the longest of long shots.

The bigger question is how Miami and the ACC deal with this moving forward. First thing I do is cancel all non conference games against power conference teams. Quality wins don’t help your ranking so don’t take the chance. Gimme Savannah state Bethune cookman etc.
You drop ND and make them fend for themselves or join the conference

What garbage. “Miami’s 2 loses worse than ND’s 2 loses”, so much for winning games. “ND and Miami are not in the same tier so the head to head doesn’t matter”.
the reality is more recent "bad" loses hurt you more than old "good wins" help you. I promise you tha if the SMU and Louisville loses were at start of the season, and we beat ND 2 weeks ago instead of week 1, we would be ahead of them.

Maybe, but they'd still find a way to get the cash cow in there. This is 2% football and 98% politics.

I think H2H should be both an intra-comparison pool tiebreaker and be used to set initial ranking. But I'm willing to wait until the dust settles after two Canes wins to really shake my fist at the clouds.
Ultimately we did this to ourselves. We all knew back in August that one loss would be ok in terms of getting in and two losses would likely not because SEC/B1G.

I know we are Miami and we have a persecution complex so this may be hard to swallow, but the fact is Miami is a cash cow also. Our primetime games bring in large viewership, well above average. Everyone already saw ND get to the Natty last year. You dont think think there is more eyes/viewership/money involved if the U finally makes a real run at a title? That headline "the U is back" sells.

Now, if you told me its because the powers that be hate Miami and are biased, I might listen. But if its purely about money (cash cow), then that doesnt make sense to me.

What happened to your thread on Utah, BYU, and ND?
To be honest, I don’t know if I have a good enough argument as to why Utah or BYU don’t belong as of right now. Some say because they’re in the Big 12? Well I mean you could throw that same argument in our face in regards to the ACC and I don’t really like to use conference strength as the foundation for my arguments because I’d be doing what the SEC Simpletons do and I don’t want to be like them. I think there’s enough parity in CFB and so many teams in these leagues that it’s virtually impossible to say one is significantly better than the other.

I mean isn’t it weird how some of the ACC teams we haven’t played have almost no common opponents with us? We played SMU and Louisville, but they only have 3 common ACC opponents with us out of an 8 game conference schedule. It’s almost as if the P4 conferences are actually 2 separate conferences playing randomized schedules in their own conference.

If we win out convincingly, we are in. Even the corrupt committee can’t make that go away. They will find a way to get us and ND in. Otherwise the whole system will be burned to the ground and they don’t want that.
You better be ready to be disappointed
The only way Insee Miami getting in is
Alabama loss
OU loss
Utah loss
BYU loss
that opens the 10 spot

There is no F ING way that bs committee is going to KICK OUT their beloved nd
It ain’t happening

They can go on tv and give a bs explanation like last night
And rece can ask a question
And then it’s done
The bracket is set
And we are on outside looking in

Book it

I hope to **** bama loses or OU loses, it gives us a chance but I doubt it
The officiating in Missouri v OU and bama v auburn will be so one sided…the SEC knows what they need and they will make sure it happens

The ACC is too f ing stupid - they will reap what they sow

Depends on where both teams were ranked going into the game
If ND was 7 and we were 22
Even a win wouldn’t put us ahead of them

There is an agenda
And espn/committee will MAKE IT Happen

**** watch what happens if Michigan beats OSU
I will bet you a million bucks they will be in playoffs!!!

I agree with the last sentence. The crooked Tobacco Road mafia would rather get the likes of Louisville or SMU meaningless wins then get Miami in a position to represent the ACC in the playoffs. You know that would not happen in the SEC. Last year against GT a very obvious pass interference changed the outcome of the game. This year a very obvious pass interference against SMU changed the outcome of the game. What was even worse about this year is they actually threw the flag and then picked it up. When have you ever seen a PI called picked up? It literally never happens. A call must have come down from somewhere to make sure that took place.

Looking for justice within the CFP committee is like looking for capitalism in Cuba.

Dicho con todo respeto por todos mis amigos cubanos.
