Too many batted passes & a pick that wasn't %100 on him. He made the plays he needed to & maybe could've done more with more opportunities.

The last part there may be the most important thing about him tonight. They were clearly scared to trust him to put the ball up for much of the game, but when he did get the opportunities later, he was everything we needed. If we need him to play again, I'd be comfortable with asking more of him from the start.

The best part of this is that TVD can be put on a short leash and get yanked if he starts throwing picks all over the place. The game will slow down a lot more for Emory with more snaps. Kid is super engaged on the sideline.

Emory squats too low in his stance.. impedes his movement in the pocket.. all in all a fair job.
Dawson was horrible in his play calls

In the first half, Dawson was way too conservative and predictable in his play calls.
I felt at the end, Dawson started giving EW opportunities to go downfield out of necessity, and EW made the most out of them.
Those downfield balls to Colbie were nice and even the in breaking route was perfect placement.

I hope Dawson gives him those opportunities from jump next time he’s called on.
I imagine the 4th qtr performance will likely allow coaches to wait until TVD is close to 100 before returning (If he isn’t already)
