That’s not CIS that’s you getting called out on garbage like Emory doesn’t have what it takes to win now and saying you spoke with Dawson about it.

An incredibly awful look for Dawson if true… but good on you for being a message board superstar.

Kinda like your call that Houston was a clearly better basketball team than Miami last year.

CIS gonna CIS. Was an impressive win and he played very well for a TFR in his first game against arguably the nastiest DL in the country. He didn’t do anything that should make @JustAFanHTX considered wrong lol. All mans said was let’s not crown the kid before he does anything. Such a weird hill to die on for people.

He kept his composure. And did what he needed to.

But we didn't ask him to do much. I'd need to see much more before I had full confidence in him.

But I think the team likes him based on the way he elevated everybody's play on BOTH sides of the ball.

My opinion of that has less to do with him and more to do with the team around him. I just think the team will be more talented around the time he’s even more mature and then he’ll blossom. But if he can build on that performance he’s a goodie

But seriously Im super happy for Emory, those last two throws
to Smith and Young is what won us the game. Great win for the kid and our program. Tremendous poise.

With that being said TVD is still our best QB by far. This kid will get better and is a leader of men. His time will come.

Ideally I wanted 9 to play this whole season with Emory getting spot duty. I thought a situation like this might've stunted Emory's growth. He's ahead of even where I thought and I already thought he was advanced for a lower rated freshman

From what I've seen, it would be silly to say he ain't it & disingenuous to say he's limited at this point.

Too many batted passes & a pick that wasn't %100 on him. He made the plays he needed to & maybe could've done more with more opportunities.

He's an incomplete but I love what I see so far.

Haha I don’t feel attacked bro the guy is entitled to his opinion. And i think my Emory stance hasn’t been clear so this was a great chance to get it clear. HE CAN BE GOOD. I just don’t think he’s ready today. I’m just one man

I agree with you on this point, and I’m not arguing to start him over a healthy TVD, but I am arguing that Emory is sharp and quick enough to win some games. The question will be whether Emory can avoid making mistakes. If so, our defense can make life difficult for most teams.

Emory squats too low in his stance.. impedes his movement in the pocket.. all in all a fair job.
Dawson was horrible in his play calls

the kid played great in that last stretch of the game man. He beat Clemson. He’s already earned a lot more patience with me

I agree. But I’m still not ready to crown anything. Which I believe was the original point you made. Don’t remember you ever saying he was bad or would never be anything just to chill on making him the savior with no real experience under his belt.
