Would actually be a good thing considering. But I still think we go 8-5. That last drive by Syracuse is pretty much what we’re gonna be trotting onto the field as starters against whoever in a meaningless bowl game.

The committee did not disrespect us.

If you were unbiased CFB watcher you too would not have put Miami much higher based off of watching our games.

We do ourselves absolutely no favors playing like we have the 132nd ranked offense. We let too many inferior opponents hang around and rely on our defense to win 21-20 type games.

The only thing we can try to do is win out but that is about as likely as our playoff chances of ~8%

there's no sugar coating that this year was a let down that shouldn't have happened

but 10-3 last year and if we go 11-2 this year would be what miami fans of the last 2 decades prayed for

if that continues Ala James Franklin / Brian Kelly then sure axe him - but in the beginning of that rise? just gotta live with It I suppose

I think bowl games at this point are meaningless as are the results (win or lose). Those non-playoff games are glorified spring games and should be treated as such. I don't think a bowl win or lose should say much about a coach as much as the regular season record, and that's mostly due to the new environment of college football.

By the way, that last drive on defense was mostly a bunch of 3rd and 4th stringers who hadn't played much all year. You blow teams out so those guys can play and get better as a result of growing accustomed to the speed of the game and putting the playbook into action. Most of those guys either run down on kickoff or only play scout team during the week; those were good reps for those guys despite giving up the TD

I took a look at this earlier.

Just based on who plays who, there's a decent chance that the playoff committee has us as the ACC's highest ranked team at the end of the year, without even playing in the ACCCG.

Since the ACCCG winner would get the auto bid, the committee would have to ask themselves if the highest ranked team in the ACC deserves to get in (as a second ACC team) over the 4th team in the SEC/B1G.

Somewhat justified though? If we go 10-2 or 11-2 and miss the playoffs/acccg because of our 2 losses, which we’re each by 3 points and to two teams we could have and should have beat…I feel like it’s ok to at least be a tad mad at that

It's ok to be unsatisfied by that, which is different than being mad. Most of the dweebs on here will ***** about the 2 losses more than giving recognition that he goes back to back 10 win seasons since before most of these idiots balls dropped.

You must not have watched NC State or Pitt play recently. Our offense will have to score anywhere from 31-35 points to have a shot of winning those games. The way our offense plays in a phone booth, our chances of winning either of those games are slim and none.
 
If we go 10-2 and usf and nd gets in.. we get in. To me it’s that simple. There will be multiple 2 loss teams getting in and we would be the only with wins against two playoff teams. I’ve seen enough of the these things to know that when it comes to the final selection things will come down to the best resumes and some teams that think they should be in because of ranking don’t get in because the team behind them had a better resume. We would be the team that jumps other teams.
 
Don’t expect us to get in, but things would get interesting if Texas and Oklahoma lose this weekend.

I have watched both play

I went to nc state and my buddy is a Pitt fan

our offense needs to be better absolutely ..... but you think pitt and nc state are going to score 35 points on us when the most we've given up in regulation all year is 24?

that's just moping to mope man
