Just watched the Nebraska-ARKY state game

Arkansas State is a solid team. They can really move the football. Battled to the end and only lost by 7.

Obviously we're much more talented physically, but if the defense plays next week like they did today we could be in for a fight.

I still have no clue why we have to travel to face them.

I love it! I love that we travel to face these teams on their turf in open combat. These "big" school hide behind walls to protect their brands.
 
Their QB is no where near as mobile as BC's and hopefully we learn how to tackle in the next week.
 
I hope Diaz pulls back on the blitz packages and can get pressure with the front four. Let this stellar LB crew clean up the slop.

Offensively, I'd like to see less screen and flare patterns. I am sick of those.

Yea, the screens quickly get tiresome. We have elite weapons. Let them creation separation.

It's a disgrace were going to Arkansas State. Who did this? Kirby?
 
This reminds me of last year when App State was coming off the close loss to an SEC team on the road.

I didn't have a problem withthe blitz, it just was not executed well. Tuckaloo blitzed the **** out of fsu, but their execution was much better and their db's don't give ground and when a catch is made, their is absolutely no rac. We need our DL to open gaps and the DB's to play closer.
 
I saw the game.

They have some skill players that may give us some fits.

Their defense and special teams will not stop us though.

I see a score like 55- 24 in our favor.
 
Definitely won't be an easy game that some on here make it out to be. They are not BC where we can get away with numerous mistakes. If our defense plays like they did yesterday, Ark. St will walk up and down the field with ease. If our team plays to our talent level and not down to our opponents, it should be another App. St. score type game. Have to make sure we're not looking ahead 1 week.

I think this is a good road tune up game before FSU. Get the freshmen ready in a hostile environment. Obviously Doak will be another level, but it's a good step.

I hope our guys don't get food poisoning from the shoneys or golden corrall they gonna eat at. And no bed mites from the motel 6...That's what I'm concerned about!

You all as well, no one on this team is worried bout some Arkansas team

The commentator of our game did make a good point. Apparently that place can get really loud. That's what he said anyway. He said it would be good preparation for our young guys before we go to FSU the next week.

no such things as a "tune up game". players get hurt just as in a non tune up game. Perhaps you can enlighten the board as to your definition of a tune up game. I'm guessing point spread will be in the 14-16 range which doesn't support your post.
