Have to take my mind off the current state of the program by reminding myself what we used to be. Our guys were amazing. Walsh struggled early but tossed 3 TD passes. Irvin blazing down the sidelines on 3rd and 7 for a TD, Melvin Bratton, Blades, Stubbs, Hawkins. Gary Stevens was very underrated at OC. The 87 team was loaded with dawgs: Blades Stubbs, Irvin....

I remember 1987. Do you remember thinking back to the 1950's about who was good? No probably not. That's like a Syracuse fan in '87 watching a game from '59 when they went undefeated and saying got**** we were good.

I understand why you watched the game, even I have watched past games to relive former glory, but these kids do not freaking care about who was good 30 years ago, some of these kids werent born 20 years ago.

I know you didnt watch it to convince some football guy we were good. Sorry i just needed to rant a bit man. I'm sorry , you watch whatever game you need to watch to get through this.

I think I'll watch an old game too. maybe '88 Michigan.

Those were the kids who built this program. The kids today should know that this is program dominated the game much like Ala, Clemson are doing today.

This program won 58 straight home games, blasted unranked teams. Contended for a played for a chip 11x in 20 years, and fielded the most talented teams in the history of the sport.

The 87 game at Doak the Canes rallied from a 19-3 deficit to win the game in dramatic fashion 26-25. Granted JJ was on the sidelines

I don't know if it was '59 or maybe a year or two later watching the great Ernie Davis and Syracuse beat us in the OB. He was one of the greatest.
