just wanted to say one thing -- football IQ

Basics?

Or how to be fundamentally sound and keep their assignments?

One and the same. We hear about how elite south Florida football is, but kids show up not knowing how to keep their assignments? Basics.

I post this at least once every year after ACC officiating shows it's blatent bias in a 'Cane's game. The study's location has moved around, Sloan Sports at MIT doesn't list it but here is a new link:

Here is the cliff notes version from an FSU guy:

Yeah, its not 2015 and Swofford is gone, but his cronies still run the show and have their favorites.

Had Gibbs committed to Bama as expected and not been a gt committment earlier in 2019 he woulda been a 5 star.

Latu IS LIKELY RANKED ABOUT RIGHT.

Wait.......

We're supposed to believe in a system that changes a guy's star rating based on where he commits?

Some of you should take a minute and check out the penalties the 2000 and 2001 teams had.

Were those teams low IQ?

What program have you been following the last 30+ years?

These aren’t horses. They’re football players and they need to be coached and taught. That’s how it works. No one is gonna convince me that the problem is that the roster is full of guys who just have a low football IQ and can’t be coached to play smarter.
Nope wrong. In engineering school I was doing good studying 10 hours a week but kids at the top of the class were studying 20 hours. Same thing at work the guys doing 40 hours were doing good but the guys who were doing 60 were killing it. YOU have to do more outside the coach to excel. These guys are not doing that. **** look at Mike Harley when he decide to take his craft serious. Coaching is half of the solution, what you do with that is on the player.

What you thought star rankings were only about evaluations and not about rabid fan bases with subscriptions.

Who believes in the "system"?. You follow the committable offers....Gibbs was targeted heavy and recruited by Bama, Ohio State, UGA....He couldve been a 1 star....wouldnt have mattered he is technically a 5 star based off of his legit offer list.

LOL remember when we were on top and whomever we offered automatically gained a star or two....only to realize those dudes coker were offering werent supposed to be here?....ahhhh good times.

Of course it matters. If he is such a bad coach with better players, he would have gone 6-6 at his previous gig. The resume is why you don't panic after 6 games.
It's irrelevant.

You are saying he is a good coach. No one cares how good he is if he is not performing well today.

I got my job based on my resume. I keep it based on my performance.

Mario needs to perform better today regardless of his past wins.

All good points, but off target. Our starting 22 simply aren't that good. That's a fact. (Exclude) TVD.
they will be a lot better if they put the extra work in. remember some of these kids were even recruited by Mario at Oregon and many by every other top school in the country.

No he doesn't. Any rational person knows that a head football coach doesn't have to clean up a 20 year mess in 6 games.
