Just rewatched the game and....

Brady was serviceable. Didn't act like the other two were anything more than warm bodies.. but they're probably better than the walkons.. well, maybe.

No one is giving them a pass. I want to know why the same 5 guys are performing worse.

what do you mean performing worse? we got drubbed by Clemson, and North Carolina last year... and lost to wazzu in the bowl game, and beat a bunch of average to below average teams with losing records

Again, this is pathetic. Here are the stats, please explain the stats.

2016: GT, FSU, UNC and VT

Yards Per Game: 340 YPG
Points Per Game: 21 PPG

Record: 1-3

2015: GT, FSU, UNC and VT

Yards Per Game: 408 YPG
Points Per Game 28 PPG

Record: 2-2

Why are we scoring a TD less per game? Why are YPG down ~17%?

Instead of taking random games (i.e. Clemson) in which we don't play this year, just explain the above.

I'll explain.....You got a 1k back playing back up to a bum and getting limited carries. Break down the carries Walton has during these 4 games to 5 att each contest and give the remainder to Yearby's total combined with his avg for each game. You will come up with a 29% rushing yard increase of 150 yards over 4 games. That is accounting for Kaaya's -88 yards rushing as well.

Rushing attack as is during this 4 game span produced 357 yards.

Rushing attack had Yearby taken all of Walton's carries minus 5 per game. Would result in 507 yards.

Richt and Brown for sure right here^

Next you have a QB/passing attack. That has managed to produce 325 yards less than the season before. 2 fewer TD and produced 2 more TO and these 2 TO were gut wrenching. Int in the EZ vs FSU and a fumble by Kaaya on the final drive vs UNC. Then on top of this you have a QB that is taking on sacks faster than the Titanic took on water. Plus this guy has gone full ****** on 3rd and mid. He went from being a 55% passer on these downs his 1st 2 years to being a 39% passer today. He was shook before FSU slammed him to the ground. I could go on for days with what Bard can't do but it is obvious. Dudes act like he has been on his 3rd OC, has Brian Monroe for a WR and up until VT met him this year. Went through the nightmare Wright exp.

Kaaya cannot handle the pressure that came with all the hype and burst.

Next you got an OL that sucked last season sucking even more. These guys get beat on the simplest of rush. They are horrid and have back ups that can't even attempt to make a push for a gig. McDoormat was getting raped by 94 and they took him out and put in a guy that makes McDoormat look all ACC, Gall. You can't even make this **** up at how bad these guys are and how there is no other option. I have never seen an OL look so out of sync with each other as these guys do. I think Kehoe sucked and i think this new OL coach sucks as well because i can't see how these guys can be so bad at everything. By this point of the season you should see improvement not a mass collapse.

Searles is the problem here.

All my numbers outside of Kaaya's 3rd and mid % is over the 4 games mentioned above.

People crack me up, acting like we were world beaters last year. To hear you guys tell it, you'd think we was a top 10 team instead of 8-5.

It's not surprising to see Richt getting the Golden treatment from our fan base in his first year. You guys are getting started early. Act as if Richt doesn't want to win and won't try to improve. As much as I detested the opening drive of 3 straight runs, i like the adjustments that he made. More quick game, shotgun etc. Every play isn't going to succeed.

Even though to hear you guys tell it, ND has no talent because they are 3-5 and we are super talented even though we are just 1 game better than that. Can't have it both ways. All the coaches fault, can't blame the pathetic play of the OL.

So the same players are performing worse due to the coaching. Got it.

Blame the coach for playing Walton over Yearby.

So the reason we're performing worse is because R. Scott is gone? Is this serious? Do you know that A. Richards is on pace to have more receiving yards than R. Scott?

Does that change anything?

We lost Scott (best WR), Waters, Cager, Brady, Jones & Langham. While Cager isn't on the level of AR15, he was supposed to be a key part of this offense. Waters was always solid. Brady would've seen a lot of snaps. Between Jones/Langham, it would have at worst given us more depth.. One very talented freshman WR doesn't replace that. Tthe lack of talent/depth (separation) at the skill position is grotesque and exposes our weakest unit (OL) that much further. That doesn't excuse the inconsistency in play calling (no idea why TE's aren't more involved) but I do know that Richt is extremely limited in what plays he can call and also what his QB can actually execute.

Did you just use Langham and Jones, who combined for ZERO catches last year, as an excuse? As for Scott, Richards is on pace to have more receiving yards. Then you have Cager and Brady who combined for less than 200 receiving yards. Not sure how we can make up for that lost production. Yes, we lost our 3rd WR Waters but other players (Herndon/Njoku) are making up for production.

So to review, our best WR is back (Coley). We have a better replacement in Richards (at least in receiving yards), so is that really the reason?

Herndon already has more receiving yards than last year. Njoku is on pace to have more.

It seems that there are plenty of options.

Not for nothing, shouldn't 10/11 returning starters be performing better and not worse?

Can Dayall Harris and a healthy Berrios replace Waters' massive 40 catches and 1 TD?
