Just rewatched the first half, this O line is pitiful

I agree with the notion that the line was far from horrible.

I watched every play of that game closely and the oline did a good enough job for kaaya to make throws on most of the passing snaps.

I think there are too many people listening to the commentator. He is a former olineman so of course he is going to hold them to a higher regard but kaaya wasnt pressured enough to miss the throws he was missing. Kaaya almost fumbled two snaps as well.

That first interception really threw kaaya off his game and he could never find a rhythm afterward.

The 2nd int was a total botched play. Someone ran the wrong route on that play. I refuse to believe richt called a playaction, backed up behind his own 20 yard line, with no check down or outlet wr. Somebody ran the wrong route.

Kaaya seriously just had a bad game and the oline did not play as bad as kaaya just sucked.

Give credit to fau as well. They were dead set on stopping the pass and did a decent job in coverage all night. Richt adjusted and it was murder she wrote after that.
 
Have to hold your breath and pray that Darling and Sonny Dogflu don't get torched. Both are a liability against a fast DE.

Yeah true. But if kaaya works the pocket better they are seviceable. A speed rush can be negated with kaaya having better pocket presence.

But youre right. They do struggle against speed thats why i like us to establish the run before we start passing all crazy.

Our oline is full of maulers. Let them run block to take pressure off the pass game. I fully expect richt to put more emphasis on establishing the run, EARLY, against app state.
 
We don't have a solid OT on the active roster. We have guards and guards playing tackle. The fact that this was exposed by FAMU and FAU is scary.

Its not. We just cant leave them out to dry. Gotta allow them to do what they do best, run block.
 
Kaaya was trying to do too much and looking for too many big plays. Instead of dumping it off and making the guys run. By the time he comes back to the check down, theyre covered. There was not this crazy pressure, and him getting hit every minute, you have to manoeuvre the pocket, slide left/right, step up, roll out. You dont just stand in one position like you're wearing a non contact Jersey

The "Turnstile". Does anyone believe this trainwreck would have been asked to transfer if we weren't so shorthanded and weak on the OL? Plus, he's good for at least one drive-killing penalty every damned game.

Honestly did you guys even watch the game?

Gall HARDLY played and when he did he played well...aside from a false start late 3rd quarter.

You guys just LOVE to pick a scapegoat and run with it.

BTW go watch Alabama WKU from this weekend...

Alabama's OL gave up two sacks in the 1st quarter to WKU...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing our OL to theirs...
 
Rewatched the game.... yeah kaaya had the 2 picks but he settled down after that finishing 14-19 after starting the game 3 for 12. Miami stopped throwing the ball halfway threw the 3rd qtr so his numbers would have been better if richt wanted to go that route but we started running the ball very well. Kaaya missed a few touchdown passes I know he knows that. With that being said I'm not worried about him, that was one of his worse games here and even then after watching the game for the second time it wasn't THAT bad or to the point where someone should say he is horrible
