Yes, 5 years. Where is all the defensive talent, particularly at LB?He came in with Richt in 2016, and is not immune to criticism, but there's more to a team than just one aspect.

We got that with Clemson last week. For a rebuilding program like Miami, Bama is a good test to show young players where they are at. One game is not the season. I think we will build off the first game. If you were hoping for National Championships you have to wait several more years.
Nothing new there. It seems like the AD and administration want .500 teams....forever.I am afraid next year has 6-6 written all over it. We will have a ton of players leave early, who shouldn't and we will once again be very young next year. And who knows whats going to happen at QB. (6-6 if King goes pro, which he has no reason to stay. His draft grade wont go up or down with a 6th year of college)
And CB.Yes, 5 years. Where is all the defensive talent, particularly at LB?
If Clemson had Mac Jones and najee Harris instead of sunshine and Travis that game looks a whole lot different. Those two guys are unreal at the college level. But revisionist history is for the betas. We lost. Got creamed. We got a ways to goProbably so but they also have the best player in the country at QB and RB and they may be the best 2 players OVERALL in the country regardless of position. No one else can say that.
And Clemson won’t be saying it next year I hope.

Howard literally started this program from scratch. Butch was dealing with severe sanctions. Díaz has been in Miami for 5 years. How much more time does he really need? He literally picked and chose every player on Defense. Next year, could get ugly with all the players we are losing to the NFL. It’s groundhogs day in Miami. For one thing, both games you mention had completely different offensive staffs. If Lashlee et al are the right people for the job, then we should see steady improvemnet. This shouldn't be a lightning in a bottle situation like LSU last year. It took Schnellenberger 4 years and Butch 5 to get to the top.
I get that, but how can anyone indict the offensive staff for not doing well without ever having recruited a player of their own? You can make the argument about the defense, but they haven't been terrible for years, it's our offense that was the glaring weakness. They'll get time to put their own players into the system.Howard literally started this program from scratch. Butch was dealing with severe sanctions. Díaz has been in Miami for 5 years. The only common theme is having poor head coaches, with Richt already retired passed his prime coming back.Howard literally started this program from scratch. Butch was dealing with severe sanctions. Calm down - some of you are hella soft.
I raised it because we just got one playing an elite team and we have another one not too far away.
It is pertinent in that we need to see if our coaches learn from this current loss somehow. It is not taking from the 7 games we have left, it was merely a message board observation Jabronis.
