That we held louisville under 350 yards of offense. While I still have no idea what the **** tyriq mccord is doing covering a slot receiver, I guess i gotta applaud Dorito for not putting on an embarrassing performance. Might we indeed be #trending up on D?

The defense actually played well enough to win. If our offense was somewhat competent, we would have had a nice lead at the half. We got worn-out towards the end since they were on the field the whole second half. Other than that, I though Chick looked better than he's looked since his freshman year, and there's some hope for both Jenkins and Hertelou on the D line.
 
Well when you consider they were missing their #1 RB, #1 WR, and were breaking in a new QB to a new system, it may explain those numbers a bit. I am looking for any positive signs, but I will reserve my judgement until I see how some other teams stack up against the Cards.
 
Don't worry, Louisville will come back to reality when they play a serious Defense that has 11 players on the field.

First real threat we play on O with a QB we will let them put over 500 yards on us? I seen this same false hope last year when we played the gators who couldnt throw the ball either.
 
Offense has held this team back more than the defense has the last few years.
With the offensive skill players we've had, we should have been outscoring most of our opponents.
The labor day game just made it apparent to most what some have been saying all along.

Stfu. You were running your mouf all off season saying how Petrino was going to light this defense up.
Now that he didn't u coming up with excuses about the QB.

Really? Really? I'm not saying the Offense hasn't had its problems but to say the Offense held the team back? I guess the 120th and 90th ranked Defenses were underrated.

Team game. Defense = Very not good, but expected to be due to depth, talent, defections, etc. Offense = Not good, but expected to be a lot better due to depth, talent, etc.

Defense has been very bad, but the offense, IMO, has been much more disappointing because they underachieved so much.
 
What we need to understand about the Louisville team we lost to on 9/2 was that it was sooooooo so so so so average. Nothing about them wow'd me. Nada. Nil. Which obviously makes losing 31-13 to them even more depressing.
 
I just wish we would switch back to an attacking 4-3 defense. While the 3-4 may be a good defense, it sucks if not properly employed like us. While it was a better version than previous years, we still had hybrid lb/de covering slot wrs. Hey, Dorito, ever heard of these formations called nickle and dime???
 
lol You're setting youself up for a let down again . So you dont think Looserville misseD a lot of chances ?

We were crap in all 3 phases against a mediocre team. Again.

Enough of this "the offense was good enough to win" or"the defense was good enough to win". It's fcking loser talk. If either was dominant or even good enough, then you beat that UL team with all the advantages we had that night.
