on GridIronStuds's show. Just wow! I honestly think UM football is over. As Peter states... there is no buzz on campus about the football team. It really is over. Never, ever will be close to what is was. Great interview by Peter.

hes on a mission to destroy this coach after what happened. it is what it is. golden doesnt deserve any more excuses. his time is over and he should be unemployed right now

How can there be any buzz, Golden has in under lock and key and is a loser who with the BOT killed the noise.

It's FSU week and no one cares in fact some fans are openly rooting for UM to get blown out. That's all you need to know.

but.... we're "The Harvard of the South"! wonder how that's paying. intellectual idiots....

Very few of them are actual U graduates or Miami natives... their loyalties if any, are elsewhere.

Don't expect them to do anything unless you force their hand.

In fact, some of academia are ticked off that fans care that much about football... which they think as intellectually demeaning.

I had one of them who couldn't get it why people get worked up over a game... they think that most of America is intellectually dense as demonstrated by their passion around sports .... their academic ivory tower perspective, I guess.

Suprising.

Liberal academics love sports because it keeps the alpha male population distracted while they destroy the world.

It will return again with one phone call to Butch Davis

The school also is on the decline academically.... So that's that...
We need to start having fans in every town that has gameday with another sign in the background.
We just have to keep the pressure up

Easy there Tin Foil. That truth is reserved for very few (i.e. people who actually have the power to destroy the world). The "liberal academics" in charge here aren't at that level and don't understand the big picture. Don't expect them to support the program any time soon.

Yep, great academics and athletics are mutually exclusive circa 2015, just ask Stanford...Oh, wait

Yes, Stanford got beaten this year by one of those BIG Football Factories, Northwestern...Oh wait

Their academics may be at that level...

A third of the rankings are occupied by schools who rank higher (academically) than UM. Considerably higher, considering 7 of the 8 rank in the top 30. They are all enjoying the added exposure and financial benifits of winning football.

Miami is just a raging dumpster fire on every level at this point. Most poorly run university in the country. Have said this before and will continue to say it. Why ANYONE would pay $40,000+ to come to this glorified for-profit community college is a mystery to me. Place just sucks and always will.
