Just Home from the game.. My Thoughts (Not Bleak)

Defensively we ran a lot of man cover 1 which was beautiful to see. TO be honest Coach D called a great game some of our players just didnt make some plays. Arkansas ST only had 329 yards of offense. We didnt get a pass rush because we were trying to contain their running QB we dared him to throw which was a sound gameplan. This is evident due to the fact that n the fourth qtr Kamalu and others went off.

We need to run the same defense against the nebraska and trust our corners and safetys to make tackles. We did improve we looked better than we did against FAMU.

When players miss tackles but are in proper position that's not on Coach D
 
TH3 and Burns didn't play well at all IMO. Burns was dragging uk if he was hurt! Last week and this week they have ran a lot of man and these guys just don't get their heads around or make plays on ball. Elder looked real good when he was in.

Special Teams were a complete **** show today (except for the punter), and if the kicker has to make TD saving tackles there's big problems. Miami needs to hire an actual ST coach.

What section were you in?
 
Defense overall played well.

Lack of aggression from the Safetys was a concern at times. Bush, Carter and Crawford all had plays where they put themselves in great position, then pulled up or stutter stepped and missed making the play. Carter did it a couple times.

Armbrister lining up at DT was weird. Overall D seemed to be well called. Gonna need more pass rush vs Nebraska

Not that I disagree, but who would you fire? Because we currently have a full staff. Meaning someone else would have to be fired OR reassigned and their role taken over by Golden.
 
It's a shame that tackling is still this bad. Too often I see guys put their arms up as if they are going to wrap up, then hit the guy with his shoulder and fall to the ground without wrapping anything up.

Saw the same thing Vern. Bush missed the tackle on the play where Perryman lays the wood on that dude. Howard needs to be better.
